I like Reed and Bowie equally in different ways. I don't feel a need to decide who is better (that's the, perhaps, unpopular opinion I hold BTW)

Oh, but whilst reminded, I find 'Perfect Day' a tad meh and certainly over used.

On the theme of music, personally I dislike most Michael Jackson songs and think they're hugely overrated

Never done much for me, but he's revered in a lot of circles, isn't he? You never really hear musicians saying they're not arsed about him.

michael jackson and quincy jones were doing shit in the studio that nobody else was doing back then.

 

fair enough if it's not to taste but it ain't overrated - it paved the way for a lot of modern music across varying genres.

Yeah. When I was younger it was my favourite track too, along with the passion of Ziggy.

 

I love every track and vacillate between several for my favourite, mostly 5 years and Rock and roll suicide.

 

The Ziggy Stardust live  is perhaps even better.
