I've tried enough to make an educated decision. At best, I've thought "that's an interesting flavour", and then after half a pint of it I've thought "why didn't I have a normal drink". I'd say more than half the ones I've tried I've had 2 swigs and thought "this is taking the piss". I would rather have spend £3.50 on a pint of something drab than £5 on a pint of Archbishop's Sack Secretion etc.

You can learn to love beer. Wash down a bit of scran with a best bitter or something, beer is always better with food. Then move on to stuff like stout or porter. Avoid some of the ridiculous over-hopped stuff that literally tastes like sicky burps.

YES!! I get pelters for my salad cream usage but I love it. Fish chips and mushy peas covered in salad cream is a thing of beauty. As is pork pie covered in it. Sarnies too. Chicken, ham, cheese, egg, all nice with a drop of SC on. With hard boiled eggs too. 

 

They're on about changing the name now to Sandwich Cream as most people don't associate it with salads any more.
