Not seen anything about an injury but tend to avoid most city reports at the moment. Shakey said something about an Achilles problem in his post match interview, but he also said that he'd planned to swap King for Iborra anyway.

Good and good! Need MJ back soon and things will be looking brighter in our CM area

It's harsh on Slim, I've stood up for him a lot but at the minute that's the way I think we need to go. He is better but not that much better, Slim had a ton of assists last season and is better on the ball than he gets credit for, although he isn't great. But it is obvious that Nacho plays the 10 role just a bit better. But despite that, the system needs to change, and it can change to fit both, and for me that would be the wiser choice, but everyone knows that Shakey won't do that.

We'll just constantly be twatting it long for him to run on to. That’s a problem with the managers tactics rather than Vards. He’a a much better player than people give him credit for; he is adaptable. Shakey just needs “to sort it out”.
UPinCarolina Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 We've been playing worse since Matty James went down, and that's telling.
Guest the fox Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 this is starting to feel like last year under claudio you actually get emotionally abused by this team, you start with a glimer of hope...... that usuallly ends by the 3rd minute, you start bugging for a performance and than except the situation by the 40th minute, you tell yourself that you wont watch the next game but you end up suggesting a 3-5-2 in the pre-match thread

I was thinking DD was replaceable but I'm starting to think otherwise. Also I really dont understand why Albrighton started over Mahrez. Sure gray deserved a start (he doesn't anymore) but to bench Mahrez instead of Albrighton I don't understand.

Albrighton has had plenty of games to re find his form yet Gray has 1 average start and he should be droped, even though he played better then Albrighton against Bournemouth from what I remember? We should be playing 4-3-3 with Iborra infront of the back 2 and make the midfield 2 move out to cover the sides. This then means that Gray and Mahrez can stay in an attacking role where they specialise and don't have to waste energy tracking back.

I meant he doesn't deserve to start. If he gets a start it's because he's a better alternative RIGHT NOW over Albrighton, not because he has had impressive performances. I agree with your opinion but for some reason Shakey doesn't feel that way. Then again I'm sure he has his reasons. At first I thought maybe he didn't have the footballs trying new formations but benching mahrez was pretty ballsy to be honest

I'm beginning to question the players to be fair. It was mentioned on the highlights how annoyed Appleton was during the match and Shakespeare said we wanted to start on the front foot yet that clearly didn't happen. Last season was similar with Ranieri asking to play the ball on the ground and got visibly frustrated after hoof number 136. Part of the managers job is to get the players to listen though, it's a bit worrying at the moment.
dynamark Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Id drop Maguire if Huth is 100% at least for a try out. We need defenders in the middle rather than Mr gung ho.

Sorry but this is a bad idea. We need to move away from the likes of Huth & Wes and try and build something new.
mod hero Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Dragovic will be no where to be seen again. He's on the scrap heap with kelechi, slimani etc

Very worried that the old guard players are basically controlling things.

Obviously it's the PL and you want to be very wary of chucking players in the lineup to see what happens, but this season at very best will be a building season, so why not do some experimenting? Europe isn't happening, relegation (probably) isn't happen, let's look to the longer term. He's a well rated player, he's relatively young, and on a plate for us if we want him for the next few seasons. You do feel though that Shakespeare isn't bold enough to give him a chance. God knows he won't get a sniff, 'meaningless' cup games aside, when Robert Hoof is back.

I prefer him on the wing. With a FB or at least a midfield support if possible. For a few games I'd just like to see some skill in the middle where a player can control the ball, have confidence in his touch and consistently move it to another Leicester player.....is that too much to ask?

We have not relied on Mahrez for about 15 months; he’s got 4 assists in that time (a lot less than Albrighton) and maybe 4 goals in open play in the league in that time (1/4 of Vardy). Just get a good manager in ffs.

It's going to be a tough evening for our boys, I know we're at home but hopefully we can snatch a draw. One of our problems is that anyone who wanted to leave regrets staying and anyone who's come in regrets coming. Probably. Yep. We've spent a fortune since winning the league and our starting 11 is virtually identical. How the club could so foolishly not invest heavily in a talented scouting network given our successes is a genuine mystery.
Koke Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Average possession in the league. 19. Leicester (41.8%) 20. West Brom (40.4%) Pass success rate in the league 18. West Brom (71.8%) 20. Leicester (71%) Both us & WBA wil put the nation to sleep on Monday night football. We are just as turd as each other. For comparison, Stoke have 45.2% possession and 77% pass success rate. Burnley got 44% possession and 72.5 pass success rate. Brighton got 46.4 possession and 78.4 pass success rate. Yes, ****ing Brighton are better passers than us and keep the ball better than us. We have better individual players than Burnley and Brighton, as shown how easily we beat BHA, but yet we are made to look like a bunch of cloggers against any half decent passing side. Over £100m spent in the last 3 windows and we got nothing to show for it.
