Grebfromgrebland Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Maybe we just need the right manager to make use of the obvious talent we have in the squad. We've bought good players but they look poor with us. I'm beginning to think we need a brand new start and some fresh ideas, we've got the players now let's get the best it of them.

We have not relied on Mahrez for about 15 months; he’s got 4 assists in that time (a lot less than Albrighton) and maybe 4 goals in open play in the league in that time (1/4 of Vardy). Just get a good manager in ffs. Well yeah I agree a good manager but I don’t think we have as much creativity as we should. Take a game like Man Utd for example, we didn’t score but our only threat on a consistent basis was from Mahrez.
Tuna Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Surely Musa is worth a place on the bench at least. He may be crap but his pace can unsettle teams in the last 10 - 15 minutes.

Ahead of Kelechi, Slim, Mahrez or Ulloa on the bench from an attacking perspective .......I think not!

Guest Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 West Brom are a big group of players. We'll need to start Iborra in what should be a much easier game for him than against Bournemouth. Kasper Morgan Maguire Dragovic Ndidi Iborra Amartey Mahrez Gray Iheanacho Vardy but we all know it'll be Kasper Simpson Morgan Maguire Fuchs Mahrez Ndidi King Gray Okazaki Vardy

When you boil it down of the usual 11 there are only two threats. All I’m saying is Mahrez’s perceived threat isn’t coming to anything anymore, not even creating chances let alone assists or scoring. That said I do now feel this season the vast majority of the problems are now solely down the the manager not even trying to change things for the better.

Why do people want every bit of creativity out the team. No Gray or Mahrez, yet stick with Albrighton. No Maguire but put Huth in
dynamark Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Ok take your view but I'm not seeing McGuire as Mr Creative. I'm seeing him as Mr I'll have a go and see what happens.Ooops.
SemperEadem Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 McClean anywhere near the starting 11? Hope not so the Rangers Loyal mob might actually have to support the team.

As winger, as Long as Albrighton, Gray, Mahrez aren't injured, he won't make it to the bench. Like Pirelli once said, power is nothing without control.

We are one of the poorest teams when it comes to passing, yet people want to remove one of the fews who can control a ball, because of ONE mistake. Albrighton has been shit since Arsenal yet people still want to bench Mahrez. Nacho is already called a flop by some, although we saw naught from him. Some have difficulties to grasp the concept of modern football and the importance of passing.

It's embarrassing. West Brom away year before last I had some idiot behind me and he just abused McClean all game.

Agree. I like defenders coming out with the ball - all the great defenders were good at it - just need to make sure Ndidi (or whoever is playing as the holding/ball winning midfielder) sits in, which didn't happened when we did concede the third to Liverpool.

Grebfromgrebland Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 I'd really like to see us get Mahrez Vardy Iheanacho and Gray on the pitch at the same time and let them develop over a few games so they can build an understanding. We seem to be playing with so much fear at the moment it's shit just plain shit. Let's get our best players on the pitch and see what happens if iborra and Iheanacho are lacking fitness then start them and sub them when they're tired so they can build match fitness. A few minutes here and there doesn't help their confidence or match practice and the player always feels like they have to prove themselves which doesn't really help. I'd like to see Vardy upfront Gray Iheanacho Mahrez Iborra Ndidi holding midfielders Fuchs Maguire Dragovic Simpson 4-2-3-1
