I just want to win, don’t care what type of football it is.

If we try and beat the likes of Man City playing man cities style they will beat us because they have better plwyers

winning is all the matters!

But playing 11 men in your own half you aren’t going to score lol

More chance than trying to beat Man City in a passing game.

drives me mad all the style talk.

if we win everyone is happy simple as that!

if he is a French Pulis and we finish in the top half then great!

Having seen West Brom the other week, I am not sure I could cope with regular, chronically boring mid-table football.

Would you prefer the chronically boring bottom of the table football that we've been watching for the best part of the last two campaigns?

Yes but the Puel is tactically on a another planet to Shakey and does not have loyalty to any players.

southampton schooled us in both games last season!

No.  I don't think those are the only two options available.

I wouldn't describe last season as "boring", to be fair.

Is that the Pulis who has never finished in the top half in his life lol

Er...it was not boring in the slightest and not even mid-table.  I think it was three consecutive top ten finishes, a couple of League Cups and forays into Europe.  Is this your best point?

And why can’t puel do this??

he got top 8 and league cup final just came up against Man U rather then tranmere

and the were unlucky not to win it!

French Pulis so it’s Pulis mindset with French flare

those 1-0 set piece wins will be sexy

true, if its 92min winner then ill accept it:ph34r:

hopefully he'll be more flexible than he was at Southampton,

its an underwhelming appointment if we do get him, though i felt the same about Raneri and we won the league and then when dross but hey ho

I think he will be a good appointment but let’s see.

I think the issue is that our players don't want to play boring, reserved football.

Ranieri tried to put the reins on - they didn't wanna know.

Shakespeare tried to put the reins on - they didn't wanna know.

I suspect that Appleton told them to go out there and let loose / express themselves and we performed much better.

How are they going to react to yet another manager trying to put the reins on?

It was ridiculous they didn't win that game, they were a LOT better than United and got pretty unlucky.

9th, 10th, 10th and 8th is mid table. We weren't exactly known for our silky passing.

This would be so underwhelming as an appointment.

I am led to believe that the owners have a target which is more ambitious although Puel maybe Plan B - I for one would be disappointed with Puel as he was very dull and very inflexible at The Saints plus he would definitely change the style completely which I think in the short term will be a challenge.

Hopefully he is one of a number with Pellegrini the top target!

Maybe it’s a bit unfair to judge him on last season alone? As few have said he has better attacking players here.... and to be fair last season was one of those games where if Southampton had a better strike force they might have battered us... if he comes in we will have to get behind him and hope for the best I suppose!
