Have you seen the news/heard the rumour?!

West ham going in for him, seems strange? I know he's done well at reading but i thought we all believed that the Championship was his hunting grounds and the Premier League is out of his depth.

Be interesting to hear people's thoughts on this, can he make it as a prem player? Will he receive a warm welcome upon arrival?

Good for him.... he did nothing wrong here

Was just getting a good run in the Championship when he picked up that injury and his desperation to carry on spoke of his character and probably his realisation that it would effect his chances of cementing a place - how’s your luck?

Been one of the best defenders in the league since he left us. Not surprised a PL team have come in for him.

Be weird if he got anything other than one?

Is he up to Prem standard these days? I haven't followed him too closely, but would be decent if he's ready now. Sadly I think he needed the first team football we couldn't give him to progress, pity we couldn't get a cheeky buy back clause in there ;).

Young player with lots of potential here. He did well in extended runs in the side, but needed a few games to warm up. His inexperience showed a number of times in the PL and cost us, and we needed the experience of Huth when he came in. He needed a long run of games to reach his potential and got that with Reading.

Good luck to him, hope he goes for a decent fee and there is a decent sell on clause in his contract.

He wasn't Prem standard for us at all, we got better when Huth arrived and replaced him.

No idea how he has done at Reading but do wish him well.

Always rated him and was sad to see him go but couldn't blame him for wanting first team football. Wish him well whereever he goes apart from when playing against us obviously.

When has this forum as a collective, ever believed in anything ....together???  lol

He was a decent player, that on and off the field, lost his way in the time, when good players kick on.

He might of got sorted, and will now  turn around , to produce that earlier potential he did show at times.

Good look to Liam, if he can rekindle an higher playing career.

I for one (so not all) thought we could of kept him....

It's often that way. Like Chris Woods - just needed some regular football to grow as a player. thats all.

True, but you never know with parts of the fanbase, he might get a cheeky boo/traiter comment thrown around.

I for one would be standing clapping him in, then sit down and hope he gets defensively destroyed by our attack.

Nobody should get booed apart from Taylor and Wise.

Yes we've had poor managers and players, often resulting in relegated, but Taylor and Wise contributed a the real dark days.

Always wanted to succeed on the basis that we used to have a kick around on Anstey park back in the day. The amount of Premier League players I have beaten at heads and volleys currently stands at 0 and i'm hoping to bring that up to 1.

Went out for a curry with him after the Newcastle game. Was very humble. Telling us Drogba was the hardest player he has played against. Telling us that he doesn't like the idea of footballers showing off their wealth, then 10 mins later he pays his bill with £50 notes lol.

They would get booed the loudest, but a few others deserve some stick, Mark McGhee, Megson, Matt Mills and Mattock spring to mind.

Says a lot about our fanbase that people have asked if both Wood and Moore will get booed on their return to our ground lol

What did Mills do? He was just a shit signing.

Mattock pissed me off at the time, and I've booed him when he played against us before, but now I just look at what we've achieved and look at what he achieved leaving us and laugh. I don't think I'd do anything if we were to play Mattock again.

As I remember he was a mardy shit and tried to undermine Pearson when he came back, so he got relegated to training with the kids and booted out at the earliest opportunity.

Is Mills still married to Matt Eliiott's daughter? It's fair to say she was one of the popular ones at my college...

As for Moore, the man took the step down he needed to. What better manager to go to as well than Stam. It's great if he has improved immeasurably, shows that he actually wants to make a career for himself. How many times do we see players get to the Prem then slink off back down the leagues without putting any effort in.

Seems like a really decent bloke as well, family man. Premier League return would be great for him and i'd be really happy if he did well. We should only ever be proud of academy graduates no matter where they end up.
