Guest Col city fan Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Nail your colours to the mast. No fence sitting Yes or no?
urban.spaceman Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Actually sod that, I think we can. 5 points away as things stand. I think we can narrow that gap. And I think the players are up for it too.
Popular Post kingfox Posted 15 December 2017 Popular Post Posted 15 December 2017 If Puel starts playing Big Dan Amartey in midfield then yes, ATM though it has to be a no. 2 1 2
Jimothy Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 (edited) I've said yes because we obviously can. We won the league two years ago and we're not far off the top four now in terms of points, with a nice gap opening up to the teams below. So we can, of course we can. Be will we? I can't say for certainty. I've voted yes because you have to believe, you have to dream, surely the title winning season taught us that. Edited 15 December 2017 by Facecloth 4
foxer Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 I've gone for yes on the basis that if we carry on as we are, spurs should spurs, Liverpool aren't up to much (I don't rate klopp) and arsenal are gash. I think it's up for grabs if we maintain anything like the level we've been at recently. If spurs don't spurs it up then Chelsea could also be pipped.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Not sure and where's all this over confidence coming from? Can you do a poll on how many Top...... threads we'll get bud? I'll nail my colours to the mast and say 136
Popular Post murphy Posted 15 December 2017 Popular Post Posted 15 December 2017 Threads like this are just emabarrassing when other clubs fans look in. What must we look like to the outside world? To answer the question, of course not. 5 1 1
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 I don't think so but I think we're on course to have a great season after a shambles of a start, the whole vibe around the club has done a complete u turn since Claude came in. One game at a time, though. 3

Ted Maul Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 We're capable, but we'll have to be nearly faultless for the rest of the season. Top 6 far more realistic. 2
Sharpe's Fox Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Honestly reckon we will with the way we are playing at the moment
Matt Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 I'd like to think so, on this form yes. I don't think we will though in all honesty. Between 6th - 8th was the aim last year and I was massively disappointed last year, between 6th - 8th is the aim this year and that still remains and looks very do-able.
Gerard Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 21 games left and we nee to make up 5 or 6pts on Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal for 4th place? Next to no chance, we'll need almost title winning form between now and the end of the season.
winteriscoming Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 No we have a difficult xmas period which I think will affect us. I can only see us beating Huddersfield and possibly watford. Get to 40 points asap and then see where we are. I'd be happy to finish where we are now, it would be an improvement on last season.
Guest MattP Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Can't see it, asking a lot to overhaul one of them let alone Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool. I think we'll fInish seventh though.
KingKoala Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 It's possible and the way the team adapted the style of play under Puel is impressing. However I think it's partially due to new manager bounce and other teams will try to find out how to play against us so it's not that easy I suppose.
adam1 Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 I think top 6 is definitely achievable. We are looking at ending up on about 68-70pts. That points total would be borderline top 4 (poss about 3pts off). I think europa league via 5th place is a very good target. Hopefully a few more "cultural" visits (I like visiting churches - did anyone go to the marble church in Copenhagen? ).
theessexfox Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 They're all on crap runs at the moment, I think they'll pick up and be hard to catch.
Bounty Hunter Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 We are playing like a top 4 club since Puel came on board. But we dug ourselves a hole the first month and a half and have been spending the last month and a half climbing out. I think our talent and coaching says we can hold our own against anyone not named Man City. The upcoming transfer window will have a lot to do with how we will fair going forward. We cant be sellers. Mahrez has to stay. Need to beef up the back and learn how to defend set pieces. We might not get in the top 4 but we will scare the piss out of them. that being said... I voted yes GO FOXES!! 1
Guest Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Col, you're as schizo as this board. We lose to Arsenal, United, chelsea and Liverpool at the beginning of the season and I start a thread saying I think we'll finish top 8. you and many others pilloried me and claimed we'd be fighting relegation. Now we win a couple of games and you're putting up top 4 polls. Crazy! All the evidence points to us getting in the low 60 point range and finishing 7th. It did at the start of the season and it does now too. Perhaps wait until we've got a much longer win streak before you start discussing top 4.

As you probably know, I've put the poll up because OTHERS (including yourself?) are now talking top four. So put yer money where yer mouth is.. Yer man..
