Dont really see why Pep is the problem not done anything wrong other than value the player too low.

Mahrez will be the problem if he throws his toys out in the following weeks. Just have to hope he will be professional, or he screws the club over completely.

Pep moneybags, Mahrez, or our players who can't hold it together when the star player is being enticed elsewhere.

You've missed out agents

Mahrez is a problem. And our management made it worse by not cutting him loose. Now we have to deal with the contamination of keeping him around.

I'm annoyed at Mahrez but I don't hate him, Pep's not really done anything wrong, his club bid for our player but it was rejected because we wanted more. So calm down you wanksock

You'd cut someone loose for £30 million less than they're worth?

It is no different to the summer it's pretty much the arsenal situation all over again and you can't call him anything but professional until about 48 hours ago

Premier League football is becoming a bit of a joke. The money is completely rediculous now. Seriously considering watching Coalville next season and giving up my season ticket.

I would have taken £1 over £50M. We can't like the inmates rule the asylum. And we can't let a disgruntled player who doesn't want to be here that we're desperate to hold onto cost us our chance of Europe.

I think it's worse. We were in 7th place this time.

Obviously with this attitude, you stand to lose out in the long run though.

So anyone who wants to leave can just spit the dummy and they can leave on the cheap?. Even if you ignore the massive amount of money you'd lose, squad discipline would collapse.

£30 million? That might be spare change to you but any club in the country would miss that.

If no other club than Leicester values him at this mythical £80 million plus figure, then what?

If he keeps doing what hes doing professionally, which right now doesnt look likely, then great, were likely to get a decent offer in the summer.

If he doesnt, the offers are going to go down and down. And theyre going to be from clubs like Roma that he doesnt want to go to.

Then youve got a Berahino or Alexis Sanchez on your hands.

A depreciating asset, offering nothing.

Then you wish youd have done the deal.

There is no good reason why Mahrez couldn't play tonight. He wasn't heading anywhere for talks, for a medical, to complete anything, the clubs were talking and he should've been available.

Man City showing an interest isn't a problem, the player remaining focused on his job should be expected.

What about it?

You said squad discipline would collapse if he left. I said so tonight? because that's what happened tonight. And if you want to talk about money we'd lose, we can discuss the hit this takes to our Europa League chances.

You just know that a couple of good performances from him and 99% of our fans will be back to thinking that the sun shines out of his Algerian ring piece!

True. But I fancy twinkle toes may be absent in body and mind for a while.

I think this window may have been the apex of his market value. I suspect we will never get as much (60 mil) again.

One bad performance and the discipline has collapsed? I think you're over reacting a bit.
