I would have to say that we are weaker after the close of the window than before it  opened.

Would be difficult to argue otherwise as we are now thinner in squad, no?

Anyone else surprised that we let both Slimani and Ullloa go? We might have lost a dimension in our play go there (with Slimani going). We were too heavy up front though I guess.

If Mahrez plays to his best for the remaining 17 (possible inc cup) games, then it has been a decent window. If he doesn't, and we get critical injuries, then it's been a window of poor decisions.

On paper, we have a good strong squad still.

Surprised that both Slim and Leo went, maybe Diabate is now cover up front.

Otherwise I'm happy enough, I think the window was a bit early in Puel's reign for many changes, especially as the players have responded well to his ideas.

We've lost some numbers but without being disrespectful to those players it was mainly deadwood who had little baring on the team. What was the role of Slimani, Musa, King and Ulloa? They're just squad fillers and with the exception of Benalouane then the players left now serve a purpose to the squad.

Diabate and Wright we know little about but I'm all for signing top young prospects as even if they are never good enough for the first team the chances are you at least get your money back somewhere down the line to a Championship club.

This window was all about getting rid of high earners who aren't of value to the squad and we've done that even if they are all on loan. Hopefully they'll perform and we get to sell them in the summer.

I think that it's hard to argue Benny doesn't serve currently serve a purpose given the injury woes of Morgan and Huth's prolonged recovery. That said, I understand your point entirely.

still i would have liked a player like WALCOTT he ticks a lot of boxes. would have sold GRAY and had him in for sure.

Walcott cost 20 million. Was it Bournemouth who offered 20 million for Gray at the beginning of the season? No comparison in my mind.... i'm still not convinced by Gray

If Mahrez comes back in a decent headspace then its been an OK window (any window in which we keep him is a good one)

Losing both Slim and Leo seems foolish and may come back to bite us.

Sad to lose a Leicester legend in Kingy

No major signings, Diabate looks like a positive and a bit ofr youth  joining.

We told the world that Leicester City are a bigger club than they have thought in the past.

All in all, a good window with an eye to the fututre

Yes and no.

Excited about the arrival of Diabate.

Got rid of deadwood albeit only temporary but fingers crossed it leads to something permanent.

Kept Mahrez, question is will we see him play for us again anyway, how will he react? Either way I hope he does play and well (obviously) but if he doesn’t I’m glad we kept him for the lolz and if he wants a ‘war’ I’m sure he’ll get one - his team mates and fans won’t put up with it this time.

My biggest concern was the defence, it has been for 2.5 years and we’ve done relatively nothing in that time.

Yes our makeshift defence has come in and done a great job but Amartey isn’t a RB, if Magiure or Dragovic got suspended or injured with Morgan or Huth (who are both close to being finished anyway, Huth already is as far as I’m concerned) are out I’m massively concerned, we’re ok a LB but I think we’ll need a new one in the summer to replace Fuchs.

Yes - good window.  Shipped out some of the deadwood and did not waste millions on another Turkey.  Negative downside - this Mahrez situation. He has to understand that Leicester cannot allow themselves to have their trousers taken down because he is throwing a strop.   He signed a 4-year contract and we gave him the chance to become the player is today. Without Leicester he 'may' not have developed as he has done.  That we will never know

That said, he should leave in the summer. Enough is enough.

Maybe his Agent will waive 'his fee or maybe Riyad will give LCFC his signing on fee to help make the numbers more palatable to LCFC? - I doubt it though.

Frankly (if we believe everything we read) i’d rather Mahrez had buggered off, I’m getting bored with his strops/ disappearing acts

He’s my favourite ever player (on the pitch) too

No.

We've not strengthened where we really needed to.

We need two, better full backs.

Thought it was going well until Man City ****ed with Mahrez.

Didn't buy a RB for like the 6th transfer window in a row. Left backs are troublesome. Fuchs and Chilwell both either play great or look off the pace. Fuchs especially would get outpaced by Ulloa these days.

Two new full backs, Chillwell yet again has proven he’s miles off the pace.

I think Chillwell proved last night he's a better winger than defender. Am thinking in Amartey we have a replacement for Simpson. Left back on last nights showing is now our weakness.

Only disappointment is that Benny is somehow still here.

Did you think we would get rid of all our dead wood. Of the players off our wage book he was probably the last one on our minds to move out.

Loaning out Ulloa, Slim and Kingy was a good move. Hopefully they all have really productive loan spells and drive up any potential future transfer fees. Their value is only going to drop stick in our reserves.

Still think Slim should be part of the first team squad but hey ho.
