Grow up and get behind Riyad, or: stop listening to the press and wait and see how he reacts on the pitch

right now, 75-80 million

So you think that is a fair fee. I agree with you. But Man City came nowhere near that on the very last day of the window. Instead it was talk about £50 million plus a player of about £15 million estimate who we probably don't need or want. So when we say no and rightly so by your valuation,, and then Riyad spits his dummy out, it rather blows all your zillion posts supporting him out of the window, don't you think?

I live in France, what you say is wrong, Mohamed B is not "their head of football department" it is only a columnist and a journalist of RMC Sport, as well as on SFR. The remark about the origin is an easy shortcut and silly, sorry. Regarding Mahrez, I am of Algerian origin and I will not insult your club like a lot of idiot on facebook ... Mahrez can only blame himself, he extended in 2016, his agent did not negotiate release clause, given the market prices at the moment and the late interest of city, the club is clearly in his right, sell it 60 M when coutinho leaves for twice more knowing he will not be able to replace it in 24 hours ... He has to get back to work, Leicester allowed him out of his hole in France, nobody believed in him. Mahrez get back to work, have fun with a club that respects you, your time will come.

Fantastic post mate. Nice to see a guy of Algerian decent not slate us unconditionally. I want nothing more than for Mahrez to get back to work for this season, and make his big move in a few months.

I salute your level-headed approach to the Mahrez saga and your encouragement aimed at Riyad.

As for Mohamed Bouhafsi, he may not be "head of the football department", but he's most certainly RMC Sport chief football editor - you could call it semantics:

Postmate fantastique. Ravi de voir un gars de bonne algérienne ne pas nous ardemment inconditionnel. Je ne veux rien de plus que pour Mahrez de se remettre au travail pour cette saison, et faire son grand déménagement dans quelques mois.

Thank you ! All Algerians do not think like these stupid facebook ... I love Leicester, I watch every game, originally for Mahrez but now even without him, I look. I do not see why he sulks, if you have a luxury car to sell, you will sell it twice less to please the buyer? even if you keep good memories with this car? He must remember that he played in 4 divisions 6 years ago ... he must take example on Vardy, better to be a legend in Leicester that washed the shoes elsewhere.

Mohamed B speaks with the heart on this file because he knows the entourage of Mahrez, he is not objective this guy.

That's exactly what I was saying.

He's biased.

The strange thing about this offer is the player supposedly valued at £15m they wanted to palm us off with. Unless we'd showed previous interest in this mystery player then it really just muddies the waters with only a few hours to get the deal done.

It will either have been a squad player they want rid of like Mangala or YaYa or some youngster who they've already decided that wouldn't make the grade there but may still be a bottom half PL player in time.

If Man City hadn't spent so much on defenders this wouldn't be an issue.

Pep needs to learn that you don't get attackers for defenders money, no matter how much you whinge. I think Riyad has been let down more by Man City, than he has by us.

Blatantly hasnt.

Man City havent done anything wrong.

The only fool in all of this is Mahrez.

Of only more people from your country were as sensible and rational as you are. Thank you, it makes a nice change.

Patrick Roberts would've made the most sense as he's a right sided, left footed winger and to be honest I'd take him here, although he's injured apparently.

Wouldn't bother with Mangala. Carthorse.

Toure's wages are absurd and there's no way he'd come here.

Disagree that city haven't done anything wrong. Technically they haven't done anything wrong, but if they really wanted him they should have bid earlier. £60m earlier in the window and he was gone. Bidding/enquiring/****ing about the day before deadline day was quite frankly dis respectful and just utter shithousery. Had they not done he would have continued playing for us happily till the summer and then moved. Or of they had bid earlier he'd have gone and everyone would be happy. Now man city are pissed off, Mahrez is pissed off, his team mates are pissed off and the fans are majorly pissed off. And all this is because of man city and their underhand tactics. The only good thing to come out of this is that a smaller club has finally stood up to a big club and basically told them they can't mess us around!

Thank you, there are others do not worry.
Only idiots spend their lives on facebook and twitter and have no football culture.
Yet the situation is simple, the market has completely changed, Mahrez has a contract until 2020, if a defender leaves for more than 75 m, it makes sense to ask at least 90 m for a former winner of the league, elected best championship player.
I ask you, what did Coutinho do for Liverpool to charge 160 million? Leicester does his job, it's a bizness!
He has a salary, a team, he works and comes to his senses, he acts like a child, it's a shame because people will only remember his attitude if he continues.

Man City made a bid that we deemed was too low. Thats it.

There was no need for a transfer request, there was no need to throw the toys out the pram, miss training and be unsettled by it all.

So if you want to make a scapegoat or pretend the blame lies with them then fine.

Literally everyone knows who the "shithouse" is as you so eloquently put it.

Its not about the price, it was the timing. I'm convinced that he would have gone for £60m if they had bid earlier in the window.

I agree that Mahrez has acted dreadfully but City should have bid earlier in the window or not at all. I know it is the way football is but I just think them bidding for him on deadline day was hugely dis respectful.

Until 2 days before the transfer window there was no indication ANOTHER request for a transfer would go in.

When the request went in, it attracted a bid from man city that the owners felt was too low.

Where is the disrespectful part, i really dont understand. The fact they made a bid for our player?

The fact they bid for him the day before deadline day and unsettled him. Yes he's been an idiot but if city had either bid earlier in the window or not at all then we wouldn't have this situation. He put the transfer request in because he heard city were interested. Had that not happened he'd have played against Everton and would have played happily until the end of the season. £60m bid at the start of the window and he'd have gone and we could have signed a replacement. But they decide to leave it until deadline day. Yes Mahrez so wrong but City could have gone about business alot better and avoided this whole circus

Not heard he was there, he negotiated and agreed personal terms maybe since summer window,  Guardiola confirmed  that.
