Grow up and get behind Riyad, or: stop listening to the press and wait and see how he reacts on the pitch

right now, 75-80 million

So why is he sulking then as Man City only ever offered 65m. You are spouting off saying we are treating him poorly but are we expected to sell him for 10- 15m below your valuation.

The facts are we have not as yet received a decent approach for him. You are seemingly blind to this

a fair fee is what the owners see as fair. 65 million would be seen as unfair in their eyes

Glad you don't run my business. You have just suggested a £70m release clause but value him higher. This is not Monopoly this is real money.

who are "we", it's all hypotheticals here. how i see it is, him helping the club win the league and play CL, the club could've helped settle the deal at 70 million (just another 5) with a few add-ons here and there

if that meant getting him back to the team and seeing all the good things he did for the club, knocking 5 million off should have not been a problem

Or.... the club gave him the opportunity and platform to win a trophy when he wouldnt have won it anywhere else because we took him up and developed him, least he could do is do his job as per the contract he signed instead of getting his head turned by other clubs who undervalue him

I don't think what you are suggesting is an option the owners would entertain and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't even work, fan idealism.

Most man city fans seem to think it  was Patrick Roberts  - so we would have had half of bloody Scotland hating us as well as he is loved at Celtic

Let's hope.

Media love to inflate stories. You only have to listen to Stringer's commentaries, where any tough tackle is "career-ending", to know this.

I think people in the know in football  will be aware of how good our owners are .As for talent not coming here, money talks and we are good payers.

How many top-drawer players have we signed in the

last years?

How many of our signings of the last 2 years have made

it into our starting line-up?

Do we  have a transfer strategy?

I doubt it.

What the fvck are you on. Man City WOULD NOT PAY A Y MORE THAN 65m so how could the  club help settle the deal with more add ons. Clown.

Riyad wasnt even meant to be in today so thats been blown up but he is likely to be fined for Tuesday. His agent has leaked the story about him being distraught.

Still think hes a twat.

What a wank situation.

I am actually generally pissed off at Man City for the late low offer. They tought they could pressure us into getting Mahrez at under the market value, so I am actually kind of glad the owners stood firm despite this mess. Also it was 50M and a player Man City valued at 15M (so probably some PL unproven youth talent) and not 65M straight up.

Understand Mahrez's disappointment, as Man City right now would have been an amazing opportunity. But they did not really really want him with these last minute low offer tactics. Mahrez need to man up and and realize that it is Man City not really wanting him and not Leicester stopping it. We just want a fair value for one of the most creative players in the league.

I am pretty sure that the owners didn't want 95m in cash , I am sure they wanted a cash sum up front plus a player in exchange with the whole deal being worth 95m. You have a good night and keep smiling.

Not really, we will look ridiculous playing hard ball wanting 90 million for a player and then to cave and  him a release clause a massive 5 million more than city's best offer just because he's decided to go missing for three days.
