He played against Watford, Crystal Palace, West Brom, Huddersfield and many other poor performances. I think too many people overstate the difference that Mahrez makes to our team. Football is a team game and even when there's a flair player who can sometimes do something it needs everybody else to carry his normally lazy ass through the game in order that the few minutes of magic mean anything.

and to add, from the 35 points we got this season, the team only managed to get 5 points when riyad didn't contribute to a goal. that means, when riyad did, we got 30 points. that equals 83.3% of the season't total point tally! and that encludes yesterday's game where he didn't play!

i think you are underestimating the importance of mahrez to the team.

I am one of Mahrez’s biggest fans, I still think he’s the most exciting and skilful player I’ve ever seen in our shirt.

So because of that, this sorry state of affairs has really pi$$ed me off. That said I think he has badly let us down, his behaviour is akin to that of a petulant kid.

I don’t blame the Club for any of this, in fact, so far as can be seen they’ve done everything right, what happens next though, god knows. He’s got to go, but when and how???

Time to move on folks. RM gone in summer anyway. Invest team time in new look spine with Mcguire, Silva, Ndidi, Nacho, Diabetes, and Vardy which looks really promising. Pre-season 18/19 has just arrived a bit earlier than any of us would have wished.

We really do need to move on from this sorry state of affairs.  Riyad Mahrez needs to grow up and honour his contract.  His behaviour mirrors that of a spoilt petulant child who

has had all their toys taken away from them.  Personally I think we should try and play without him using different formations integrating Diabate and Gray in the team more.

This club of ours is bigger than Riyad Mahrez and no one should hold the club to ransom.

I do not want to see him play for us again, he has let himself down, the club and us fans.  The man should be ashamed of himself.

as for consistency, in the last 20 games he played, riyad managed to officially record at least a goal or an assist in 14 of them

Do you fancy posting the stats from last year when he was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard, foxy?

Sums it up nicely!

Mahrez has well and truly burnt his boats at LCFC now..

Hopefully the owners will make sure he never puts on a Leicester shirt ever again!

Good player he maybe but a disgraceful human being to go with it!

Thats a bit strong, is it said in jest?

Perhaps he could post the stats from the year before that when he was pivotal in helping us do the impossible.

You mean last season? Most of the players were poor last season. I criticised Mahrez on here many times.

He said he wanted to leave in the summer, nothing happened and he's got his head down and got on with it. He's been one of our best players this season.

people (including me) wish that he was just a fringe player who did this (like ulloa). it makes it easier to just say "let him rot, we don't need him"

but in the end of the day when the dust settles, he's still our best player and game winner.

for me like i said before, you see this kind of behavior from very good NBA and NFL players. they are worth the hassle. it's like barney's crazy to hot graph

The stats don't lie but we have to learn to play without him. Why not start now. We are not going to get relegated so a perfect time to give more experience to Diabate etc. As good as he is and he is by far our best player, we have to move on and we cannot just brush his behaviour under the carpet. He either apologises and plays his heart out till the summer or he doesn't play again and we get rid in the summer anyway.

because it's too much of a risk. we already lost 5 points from the last 2 games because of him.

start in the summer. make diabate mahrez's understudy. let him show diabate the ropes and make him a better player.

we can't sell him now can we? so why not play him?

no one said that we should brush his behaviour under the carpet, he deserves most of the abuse coming his way.

There is no way of guaranteeing we would have got 6 points if he played. It's not a given so please don't talk like it's fact. He has been back to form this season but last year he went missing most games so we can win without him.

The club is bigger than Mahrez. It's a pity that he hasn't learned that there is more to life than money and glory. Loyalty to your teamates, the fans that spend thousands of pounds and have travelled all over Europe and beyond obviously doesn't mean anything to him.Great footballer he may be but as a human being he seems to be lacking somewhere.

Delusional. Our players aren't all Leicester fans. You know that, right?

in this season's form, we could've easly got all 6 points. did you see how the everton team was so shaky in the start of the game or after vardy scored the pen, remind me of the title winnig season when we faced villa and managed to get the tough 3-2 win because of him? or how we couldn't finish the swans off? he makes a living off those games. he is our kyrie irving, he is our game winner. when push comes to shove, he is the one who leads the way.

I think he'd have been frustrated with the Swansea game. One of those where he starts coming in too deep to pick up the ball. But we can speculate either way all day. Everton I'll give you but then who knows.
