yes  he should play znd he will play

Leicester own mahrez and mahrez doesn't own Leicester ( they bought him as raw-product, they made him an end-product , they will sell as special-product )

the  owners and the club were wrong when they kept mahrez aft twinning the title and losing the pivotal player n Kante , not to buy top players in different positions in order to become a possession team and for not doing so ( they got two managers sacked , bad results , injured players and wasted time )

puel came with a solution ,  no more counter attacking , no hurrying ,  must control the ball

Leicester started to show a beautiful football and showing hey can compete to be within top 6 in the next future ( a well established midfield will allow and ease the move mahrez without hurting the club and the team )

so mahrez affair has it's origins in the post title era and should get the solution by revisiting the contract with a release clause

Yeah he should and he will.

Gray and Diabate aren't good enough to replace him for the foreseeable future, so we'll probably sign his true replacement in the summer.

It's like having a Lambo that you're leasing that you know you're going to lose in the Summer so you keep it in the garage and instead drive a Prius.

Use the Lambo now, then when you've gotta send it back go and buy yourself an Aston Martin or something.

What happens when you go to the garage and the Lambo is nowhere to be seen?

Any real news anyone?

Any legal eagles out there? Player walks away from contract and necer returns to training, whats the legal position? LCFC arrange sale for summer? refuse to pay RM? refuse to let him train? and then sue him for breach of contract?

Delusional. Our players aren't all Leicester fans. You know that, right?

None of them are Leicester fans but that does't mean the The way Mahrez has disrespected the club and fans is right.

He is under contract to play for us and if he refuses (acts unreasonably) then he would be in breach...we could certainly claim his wages back (=not pay him) and/or we could also show loss  if we have to buy and pay a replacement... ie pay them his wages but claim the txfer fee we have to pay...say 90m..or half of it if we signed replacement on a 4 year deal and so he has to cover the first two  All in all this would cost him a lot.

I dont think it would get to court... but he needs to wise up.  Paying his remaining contract woukd only cost us 10m... so we could play hardball.... we coukd afford to sit out the 2 years.

i don't think we can say this anymore. gratefulness went out of the window when he, for the second time said he wants to move.

this is like saying that you are grateful to a women who wanted to leave you more than once for an upgrade but couldn't so she settled for you.

He wants to move clubs! He's not ****ing your daughter. It's fine. It's fine.

Edit: If he IS ****ing your daughter then I apologise. And I can empathisise the constant talk of him ****ing another woman may become tiresome.

The poll in here says it all .... ONLY 30% of this group of fans is childish enough, self-oriented, cry-babies ... passing their selfish delusional hurt feelings before the club's interest!!

Hats Off to the other 70% who truly represent the adult LCFC.

Mahrez should come back, apologize to the true fans who cherish the club and its successes. His advising team should advise him better and .. no apologies due to the owners!

He’s a cvnt.  Best player I’ve seen in a City shirt.  Mardy arsed prima donna. Won us the title.  Sulky little tw@t.  Should have sold him. Let him rot in the reserves. Play him if he apologises. He’s too good for Leicester. We have held him back. Heez bist play ever yuo racist ingland pigs ! Owners treat him bad.  Proud of owners. Needs to knuckle down.

Think that about covers it ...    all you need to do is mix and match ...   anyone getting bored yet ?

I’ll post this in all 10+ Mahrez threads ...      zzzzzzzzz.

I sense a Foxestalk drinking game. We all have to down a shot when one of the above phrases is trotted out. We'll all get wasted in no time.

What ...  the ones that pay him £100k a week ?

Yes .. those ones!! No one know exactly what happened behind doors. For him to come twice already with an exit ticket suggests there was an informal agreement to let him go for other horizons should the "unknown" (and most probably discussed behind doors) valuation be met. Let set his personal hopes/goals/wishful thinking aside even though he's entitled to pursue the best options as all the other greatest of the moment ... but not letting him go for 65 m (plus a player) while it was repeated ad nauseam that he was valued around 50m is what, to me, appears to be the true conundrum that threw this whole situation into the abyss.

As Gerrard repeated yesterday, the owners and Riyad's reps have to sit down and find a middle ground where none of them is winning it all nor losing it all.

What insulting rubbish. RM is in breach of legal contract and continues to be everyday he stays away. Owners should sue him for breach, not pay him, not allow him back, and yes ask for posh blue car keys back for Monday. Player and Agent power is not stronger than the law.

With every day that ticks by it’s less likely he will ever play again with the current impasse. Of course he should play as he’s contracted to do so and to be honest we need a fully focused Mahrez not a moping minnie. I can’t see him playing again and don’t think Puel will take kindly to the antics. Bad all round I think

I wonder what kind of reception he will get if he plays again, I personally will not boo or clap him.

Well, IF he comes back, let’s just hope that not too many people boo ...    otherwise he’ll be back down that tunnel in floods of tears faster than a rat up a drainpipe.

Because he’s had to put a transfer request in, twice, suggests there isn’t an informal agreement in place, else why would he need to do so

Isn't maths a strong point of yours then Riyad?

To be honest the longer he's off the field the much worse it'll make for Mahrez, I mean I can't imagine Man City or many of the so called big clubs would be impressed with is attitude the last week or so. This whole thing reminds of Saido Berahino back at West Brom, at a time he was scoring goals for fun suddenly he got linked to a move to Liverpool. West Brom didn't wanna sell, in the end there was no deal Berahino stayed at West Brom sulked refused to play for them, in fact he never played for them again I believe. Liverpool lost interest, got sold on to Stoke and never been the same player since.

Oh year Berahino forgot about him .. don't think he has scored for Stoke since joining them.

Also think Sterling and Suarez at Liverpool, Van Dijk at the Saints , Payet at West Ham.

Players and agents have a lot of power nowadays .
