Maybe he's as deluded as the Algerians who swamp the Lcfc facebook page.

Clearly rates himself bigger than the club and has little regard for anyone at the club.

Sadly, I don’t think we will ever see him wearing a Leicester shirt again. His agent has clearly advised him as he would Sánchez. However he is not Sánchez, and our owners don’t give a flying **** about his ‘feelings’ in this situation.

Yeah I do.

We actually don't know what has gone on.

I just want to to see him doing his stuff again in our shirt, he's Mahrez ffs.

He's the guy who wanders past world class defenders, the guy who laughs at a Man U defence while he slips in Vardy to score, puts the ball through legs of people while we laugh, controls the ball from 60 yards in the air, drops it on his heel, sends Chelsea defenders into a Strictly routine while he scores and I've not even mentioned that drag he used to do which he'll whip out in the FA Cup final.

All artists are bastards, Van Gogh sliced his ear, Picasso refused to budge until his brother died, this is what they do.

If you don't want to fall in love with an artist then don't fall in love with guys like him, the man is a genius. Just watch that goal against Man City. He's our Michaelangelo and I can't do anything but love him.

All of that is true, but now is not the time for Mahrez hyperbole, I'm surprised you didn't call him that 'sweet Prince' thing that always makes my teeth itch.

No, now is the time for pitchforks.  Whiny little twat that he is.

Genius!!!..

So the answer is to kill his brother and cut his ear off.. Then he'll be back for training!..

Why didn't anyone else think of this solution ffs!?

Pains me to say it but he could be the difference between winning something this season, even if that is European qualification.

We’re paying the cvnt so I expect him to bloody well pull on the shirt, act like a man and do what he’s supposed to. Go to war on the pitch, don’t act like a little bitch.

It’s a double edged sword. I understand why he wants to leave. He’s got great ability and what’s  the chance to win competitions.

From the clubs point of view, he’s irreplaceable for a club of our standard. Like Kanté and Drinkwater before him, they believe they can do better than Leicester.

However, It’s truly unprofessional of Mahrez to have acted the way he has. It would be nice to park him up for two years and let him become the forgotten man. That’s an expensive point to prove though. £6m a year in wages and loss of a £75m asset.

His situation is not that different to Payet. He sulked and West Ham let him go.

At at some point, player power must end.

I cant see any benefit in playing him again..if he is leaving in the summer..

1. Let Gray/Barnes/Diabate get more experience...

2. How committed will he be ?, Probably not a lot so cant see him helping us to win the cup or win 7th spot in the league

3. If he gets injured it may affect how much we can get for him

4. May be a negative influence on team morale.

5. We will have to get used to playing without him sooner or later...why not now when we are not in any danger of getting relegated.

6. Save on his wages.

7. Loved him as a player and what he has done for us in recent seasons but "player/and or agent power"  needs to be addressed, so let him waste a few months of his career.

He'll come back alright.

I can understand why he's frustrated about not going but Man City wanted to pull the carpet from under us in doing so.

Had they come in early January for a bid of 75 million it would have been sad but I would have agreed to sell. The offer they made was at best too little and at worst something of an insult to us. Not to mention the terrible timing of it. Man City could have him at anytime if they really wanted him that badly and pushed the boat out.

The worst thing about all of this for me is that both us and Mahrez were on the right path. Back up to 7th after a difficult start and he coming back into form. Had the offer not happened he would have been guaranteed to be a consistent level for us until the end of the season and we stood to benefit too. Mahrez would have got this 'dream move' of his and moved on in somewhat good terms.

Now the fallout has potentially played havoc with our season and though not the reason we didn't win our last 2 games was a factor and perhaps a reason any outside chance of a top 6 finish has gone.

The talk of rotting in the reserves is a bit extreme. There has to be give and take between both sides. He did give us some great times and he should remember we plucked him from nowhere.

Take a fine for his actions, admit his conduct was a bit irrational and try and move on in a professional manner. There are no winners the longer it stays like this.

Need the option of yes he’s committed until the season end, if he’s half hearted then no, if he’s over it and committed get the mardy ****er in.

This is how I feel too Monse but the going to war b.s. makes me think fvck him!

It's a no from me and it pains me to say that as he's the most talented player I've ever seen play for us. But whether you are Mahrez or Messi, nobody is bigger than the club I love. The

utter dis respect he has shown our club, our fans, his team mates, manager and owners should not be taken lightly. We will be weaker without him this season but we aren't going to be relegated and we can replace him in the summer ( yes I know we won't get another Mahrez) and move on. I'd be pretty pissed off if I was Diabate or Albrighton for example and got dropped next week for Mahrez after the way he's acted. If we can blend him back into the squad for the rest of the season without upsetting the other players then happy days but I can't see it. He's burnt his bridges for me.

Tough one.

If he comes back and has a poor/average end to the season then no one will be coming in with £75m+.

If we cast him aside for the remainder then we can sell him based on how he finished with us up until January.

The best scenario for me would be one of two things:

1) we carry on talking with Man City and see if they want to do a deal now to take him when the window opens (true test of whether he was just a stop gap option for them) and have him finish the season here like Keita is doing at his club.

2) he signs a new deal with a determined buy out clause. Make it clear as day that we're not standing in his way, we just want what he's worth.

Such a shame that he's massively tainted his legacy here.

He wont be the same player for us as he was before the transfer window as he feels let down by the club.

its a shame as he was playing so well.

but that's life and we all feel let down some times so he needs to man up and prove he was worth the 80 mil

we wanted for him.

All the hard work this season, Morgan and Maguire throwing their bodies in front of the ball, James putting in the months....well, years actually, to get match fit, Shinji smiling like a mad axe murderer whether he's starting, subbed, kicked up in the air or on the bench, cup run, 7th then just one point from six and dropping from 7th as Mahrez doesn't turn up. I suggest he donates his weeks wage (for which he did F.A. To earn) to a new hastily arranged Foxes Talk lottery, I'll be happy to rig, sorry, perform, the draw.

He's not a young man in a strange new country anymore, he has a very comfortable lifestyle, his "friends" statement of disenchantment has been seen and heard by all,  that should be enough, not having the bottle to turn up and confront your work is not something we can opt to do however s***e life gets, we needed at least four points this week, do what you signed up to do and stop letting people down. Including yourself.

If he trains and looks capable of offering more than Diabate and Gray (in ability of course he can but in attitude?) then, to answer the question, yes he should.

This morning I probably would have voted 'yes'. But at HT of today's game I watched the likes of Davie Gibson and Mike Stringfellow hobble out onto the pitch. These guys were true professionals befitting of the word, and they busted a bollock for this club for a fraction of the pay that Mahrez gets. Can you see Mahrez coming back to visit in 50 years time? When he goes I doubt he'll give us so much as a second thought. I'd rather go back to League One than see him play for us again.
