After 26 games and 109 tackles our Ndidi is the top tackler in the league. He can also score goals, it's amazing to think James has never scored, not 1; even King scored the occasional goal as does Albrighton but James not a sniff. Someone just needs to teach him how to trap a ball and pass. Now there's a new role for Mahrez, Ndidi skills coach till the summer.

I think he has one league goal for us. Vs Watford at home when we won the championship in 13/14

He’s hardly a goalscorer, he has 2 goals in about 40/50 league games for us. James’ game is completely different to Wilfs and those 2 goals are hardly worth a mention.

Great combatant to have in the midfield though and compliments a technically gifted partner very well.

Is there a stat for number of fouls given away just outside the box in a very good shooting position ?

No hes a good lad rally

Can’t tell you that But according to whoscored he makes on average 4.2 tackles a game and commits 1.8 fouls a game

just for comparison Kante makes on average 3.3 tackles a game and commits 1 foul on average a game

When you are that gangly it must be hard sorting your feet out at times, but it does help give him that go-go-gadget tackling ability.

I'll bet he roasts N'golo on aerial dominance too, although Kante was better than his stature suggested. Given Wilf is so young, we have a superstar in the making.

Squawka does give him a higher tackle success rate than Kante though.

The fact he has made the most tackles doesnt NECESSARILY mean he is the "top tackler" it just means he has attempted more tackles.

Unless thats whats meant by top tackler rather than best tackler

Liverpool are taking the pi55 if they think they can catch Ndidi for £54.5m from us shows again how the top 6 clubs come in for the smaller clubs star players for insultingbis to sell for peanuts, come back in the summer when we’ll slap a £150m on his head after having the best stats all round in the EPL !!

This is one player we need to break the bank for to keep!!

I notice that he's popping up in the box more since Puel arrived, getting shots and headers in (not just from set piece situations). Last season by the time he and Drinky reached the half way line the attack was over such was the direct approach of our play. Incredibly impressive, we keep forgetting his age and how quickly he's adjusted to this league. Replacing Kante like for like was impossible, we may never know what a fit and aclimatised Mendy could do for us but finding Ndidi has been as good a resolution as we could ever have hoped for.

Yes, Ndidi reminds very much of Schlupp in front of goal, complete rush of blood and over the bar for 3 points!

Ndidi stays with us for a few more years and his deveolpment carries on he slots into a Barcelona, Real Madrid easily as their enforcer ;)

Doesnt need to waste time never winning the league at liverpool.
