very intresting interview with the going on in the squad. For all this band of brothers thing what was used during the title winning season. Doesn't seem to exist anymore.  Also basically admitting he wants to go back to Spain and it hasn't worked out here for him.

A shame because at first I thought he was another inler and wasn't up to standard but then started to put in decent performances to be dropped for no real reason.

“Here they do not have the philosophy of making more life with their teammates. Many live far away and come to train every day from other cities. It’s something that surprised me, the club allows it and they prefer to live in their cities.

this is understandabe, for me, in terms of players living away from Leicester. They may have already had their family based there and no need to uproot them. It's easier (and quicker) to get around England from city to city as opposed to Spain?

At the end of the interview Iborra was asked about his future, he replied: "I have always said that going back to Levante is one of my goals. I wish to return to Spain, to live there and because I would like to play in the Spanish league, but I do not know when. I hope the road of Levante and mine will cross again.”

This is just like saying he wants to go back one day? Not necessarily now...?

Looks like you need to be in the band of brothers then to get picked to play that's why James and Morgan played yesterday. Makes you wonder if the team is picked by the players and not the manager.

Not surprising to hear really. New players to a team, non-English ones in particular, are going to be susceptible to feeling isolated. I can’t imagine our core lot being sensitive to this, given that it requires an ounce of emotional intelligence. Not something I’d expect e.g Vardy or Marco Brighton to have in spades.

I seem to remember rumours that Kante had a similar problem. But he was crap, so who cares if he didn’t feel a member of the team? Glad he’s gone.

i don't think he criticising Leicester or our set up, he just saying its different in Spain, that where he spent most of his career so its what he is use to, probably a bit home basis writing given it a spanish source, id take with a pinch of salt

Puel has killed the team spirit

Errrrr based on what exactly?

The fact is, most of the people who lived in Leicester whilst here have moved away from the club since promotion. You have a handful of the new lads who live here, but it's not like they are walking into a group of players who all hang about together.

Band of brothers was sprouted only 2 years ago. Kante and drinkwater have left. So why all of a sudden is there's none of it left ?

Those are perfectly reasonable comments. Of course he misses Spain and it would be highly surprising if he wanted to see out his life in England. He makes no mention of wanting to leave right now and says nothing derogatory about the club or city.

I remember reading around the time of the title win that our squad meets up regularly for meals and stuff according to Morgan. Do you honestly think that was something organised by the manager or the players themselves. If so a change in manager would be irrelevant and they would still be doing this currently

Because it was bollocks to begin with?

The core that lived here were the likes of Nuge, De Laet, Schlupp, Vardy, King, Was, Knockaert, the guys that got us up and socialised together. As time ticked on that core went and the what's left local now is mostly all the newer foreign signings.

I think there’s a balance to be had with the living elsewhere thing.

Chelsea are extreme and players have to live within a few miles of Cobham (longer serving players that is, new signings tend to live where Mahrez does near the heliport)

The players seem to have a lot more time off under Puel, might just be a perception but I think we’ve switched to longer days and two days off?

Shame Iborra is out of favour though, think if he’d ever had a long run in the side you’d see his quality

I thought the headline massively exaggerates the article tbh. Iborra and his Spanish family living in a foreign country and due to his strong bond with Sevilla, misses it. That's how I read it anyway.

A very discreet man.  Not one mention of his cozy nights sharing a bottle of Blue Nun and a Chicken Korma with Suzie the Fox.

Read an article where Leonardo Ulloa helped him settle in to life in England and Iborra's kids also go to tbe same school as Leo's. Could be that with Ulloa now out on loan may have something to do with it.
