Is that the exmouth market one? Yeh been there a few times, do prefer it as it’s a bit bigger as well. We ate at the bikeshed opposite yesterday though, so this one was convenient.

Yeah my bad, Exmouth Market!

Melton last week was great for old man boozers, Harborough today was superb for beer (& fit barmaids).

The Freemason’s had loads of Budvar varieties in, I’d never seen half of them.

Where’s next on the Leicestershire crawl? Oakham? Hinckley? Ashby?

Hinckley over Christmas I think. Really enjoyed getting around the county for beers, should have done it over the summer.

Ticking Harborough off means I’ve had a pint in every constituency in the county now.

I was thinking about something similar in the summer when I had to go Hinckley for work. Then the Euros took over. I’ll sure many can speak up here but apparently Ashby is a really good place for a drink

Ashby is pretty good but depends what you’re into. Has the best place for craft beer in Leicestershire imo (Brew). However the majority of pubs are nothing special. Plenty of choice for a day session though and also some good places to eat in the town centre.

In the Sheffield office today. Had a lunch time pint in Bungalows and Bears. Bit of a shite selection in there today so clock watching until I can get to The Tap for one (and a half) before I get the train.

Didn’t disappoint. Pint of Jaipur and a pint of Northern Monk Chocolate, Caramel and Biscuit Porter. Can’t move on the train and I’ve needed a wee all the way but, worth it.

Not a big fan of Brewdog but had their Layer Cake chocolate and marshmallow stout last night and really enjoyed it, it was like a tin of dessert.

Got some beers in for Christmas from The Offie the other day. Had a good selection of Christmas beers in, including a Christmas Lachoufe but I couldn’t bring myself to spend £13 on it, maybe nearer the time I’ll cave

My wife bought me a Bier Company advent calendar.  Whilst it's a very lovely thing and I am deriving a good deal of joy from coming back from work and remembering I've put the day's can in the fridge, 13 days in and so far we've had two lagers, one 'pale' and and 10 IPAs.

Is IPA easy to make or something? Just rename yourselves the IPA company already.

On the upside, drinking this much IPA is starting to make me like it a bit more

It's the trend these days. Also, to be fair, there is only so much you can do with a lager. Not like you can change the recipe/taste that much. Lager is lager. IPA's have many variations.

A 3.7% Cloudwater Pale Ale in Two Tailed Lipn yesterday what belittle its strength. Probably as good a beer had all year. Notably the beer selection was far better in TTL thankfully; Deya was next on tap

Tell you what’s a lovely drink. Marks and Spencer’s own Belgian Lager. It’s my go to train beer nowadays.

Guaranteed 4 pack of these every time getting on a train when going on a trip. Sometimes the best part of a trip!

They usually have good breweries producing their ‘own brand’ stuff.

Didn’t know that. It’s bloody power as well the Belgian one. Piss myself if it was just old Stella rebranded.

I say just, old Stella was my favourite anyway.

I’m currently looking forward more to 4 of these on the train than the boxing on Saturday night so yeah I get you.
