I understand they don’t like their ground as it’s not really suitable for them.

I understand they aren’t doing well in the league and they want the board removed.

But absolutely no sympathy from me, not one ounce and here is my reason....

They were very keen on moving ground when they knew they would get it for virtually nothing, which would in theory mean they could compete with the very top teams.

But it more than that, they had no thought for Leyton Orient. They knew their increased capacity would pinch fans from their close neighbourhood. They knew this would put a nail in Leyton Orients coffin.

So if modern football is good if it means you should be able to compete with the very best with little thought for your near neighbours, don’t start moaning when it all goes wrong.

When have they ever been relevant?

Seems like they think they're a massive club and deserve lots of credit for some reason despite hardly having a recent decent history to support their claim.

I do have a little bit of sympathy with West Ham fans. But only a little bit.

When the Olympic Stadium was constructed for the London games, it was designed to have a "legacy" mode whereby the upper tier was removed, leaving a 25,000 ish Athletics stadium. But the London Legacy Organisation needed an "anchor" tenant, and that needed a bigger stadium. But they insisted in MUST be an Athletics stadium, or at least convertible. So a bonkers decision to rebuild the permanent part (lower tier) of the stadium and then have to build a new roof to at an astronomical cost deterred the only other real bidder - Spurs. Having backed themselves into a corner, the London Legacy group then royally had their pants taken down by Gold, Sullivan and Brady who absolutely rinsed the taxpayer and got the stadium at knock down price, being the only bidder.

They the punted this on to the Hammers fans as being able to take them to the next level.

The stadium is a great venue, but not an ideal football ground, But if West Ham were picking up the points and riding high in the Prem, the fans wouldn't be moaning about the stadium.

The whole club has become toxic and they could well be the next Villa/Sunderland

It's hard to comment when we've not experienced it.

London Stadium is horrible though. Worst away day out of the lot for me. Shame as well because I loved Upton Park.

But I don't know if they opposed it at the time or not. I remember the owners promising a load of shite.

I watched the Anniversary Games there and the atmosphere and noise was comparable to anything I've ever experience in a football ground. But if you were designing a football ground, it would not look anything like this....

Were they though? I really don't know whether the fans wanted the move but I suspect they didn't. The owners on the other hand were obviously very keen!

Orient are still getting between 4 and 5,000 attendances in the conference.

What cracks me up is when West Ham fans ring in to talksport moaning that they're no longer playing 'the West Ham' way lol

I am sorry but it's not like they are Barcelona or Arsenal and are none for playing quick passing football. Their fans are deluded!

They're one of the biggest offenders when it comes to entitlement syndrome.

They make Newcastle and Sunderland fans look reasonable.

Before kick off they held a ceremony to remember a player they had who was decent that died twenty five ****ing years ago, they're living that badly in the past.

The board have actually got them sorted with a half decent squad, they should be doing much better than they are.

They seem to think that because they've apparently got money to spend, the owners should be buying world class talent. They need to be lookin at us, we just won the ****ing league and got stacks of champions league cash and the best we could manage to sign was Islam Slimani.

World class players don't just rock up at your club because you're in the Olympic Stadium FFS.

And every Premier league club has money these days, big woop.

When Upton Park was bulldozed the last part of the cockneys east end died.

It has been dying for decades, the cockneys started moving out to Harlow, Basildon, Billericay etc as early as the 1960's & for various reasons have deserted their beloved east end in droves.

The east end of 2017 is a mixture of immigrants which has always been the case & dependant on area, the upwardly mobile.

As has always been the way of east enders a bit of "bovver" is part of the fabric of life & saturday  was no different.

They love their "Muvvers" though

Then they had an advert of the big screens trying to sell Bobby Moore shirts, that's exactly the sort of reason they want their classless and clueless owners out. As a fanbase on the whole they probably are a bit deluded but most fanbases are. There's plenty of reasonable fans that just don't won't to be a joke of a club.

Credit to the Burnley substitutes who gave away their seats for some young fans who were caught up in the fan-infighting.

Sadly think that West Ham have got enough to stay up.

Maybe, but he wouldn't have thought that when he did it.
