So we are nearing the end of another roller-coaster season, sat in 8th, had a fairly nice run in the fa cup, bit hit and miss in games performance wise, but overall I think it's been a fairly decent season.

So while at times I get frustrated with how we play, slow build up in possession, and in the final 3rd lacking a bit of cutting edge, I've been thinking that maybe some give claude a really tough time for no reason, we tend to forget these aren't his players, he works with what he has and we forget that hes getting alot better tune from them then what Shakespeare did, I like claude, I think the job he doing is satisfactory and he shouldn't be judged that much until maybe 6-7 games into next season, by then he will have brought players in who he wants and outed who he doesn't

Let's also remember the way he's got Riyad playing for us after the whole debacle at the end of Jan says alot about his man management, superb

Its not even that be it an in or out thread both sides of the argument are discussed. Perhaps people need teaching how to search. Or even showing how to scroll down a page.

After all its not that hard both us old fvckers can manage it lollol

I'll be happy finishing 8th tbh, another year of premier league football in the bag

I honestly wonder what the reaction is going to be if and when we start running into trouble in the future if this is the slating our manager gets for finishing 8th in the league. I don't remember anybody knee jerking when we finished in a similar position with MON

Maybe this is a stale topic but Claude deserves credit for evolving the style of play after the rest of the league worked how to cut off the 2015/16 counter-attacking game. Ranieri and Shakespeare were unable to do this. Realistically, it could take 2-3 more transfer windows to perfect a new style. How about a little patience?

By and large, his style of football has been boring beyond belief. The thought of another season of slow build up bad team selections and unfathomable substitutes depresses me. He has been here long enough now but still doesn't seem to know his best eleven and has all the charisma of a stale lettuce. Judging by the look of pure boredom on the owner's faces on Sunday I'd say they have other managerial targets in mind and few would mourn Puels passing.

Take me back to those exciting times of Huth and Morgan being our playmakers

Or playing with 4 FBs.

Yes and no for me.

He has his faults like slow subs, questionable selection and line ups, Man City being the strangest, and he plays it very safe, some say negative, so that for me is where people are not liking him.

Then people have to appreciate he’s working with some very average footballers, who cannot play the style he is trying to play, so patients in needed until he’s recruited his players

I'd rather watch us actually keep the ball and pass on the floor, regardless of whether it's slow or not, than the constant shite hoofing launch the ball forward I saw under Shakespeare.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as technically it's not a Puel thread. It's a Claude thread...

-1 for your not funny sarcasm.
