There seems to be something in this but it also appears (which it shouldn’t but apparently is) that it’s dependent on the Mahrez deal which does appear to be stumbling again. Not that the players are like for like positionally but simply that the finances for players after the Perierra deal are coming from sales of existing LCFC players. 1

Nick Posted 4 June 2018 Posted 4 June 2018 Because it was rumoured that CP was to be given a £50 million transfer budget plus the use of the money from any sales. Minus RP’s fee and I’m thinking forking out for a CB which is the highest priority whether Mahrez goes or not and CP needs to sell before he can buy. Plus the Norwich fella also backed up this with Maddison stating that his local journalist said the same in relation to waiting for the Mahrez deal to go through.

Following the chain of "noise' on this, it stemmed from Fin. The Norwich fella was reporting on what he said on here and was then repeated around different twitter accounts IMO. Fin also said Macia went about three weeks ago and that Evans and Mahrez would be done over a week ago... so you believe what you want on that one. 1

No I think it actually stemmed from Sylofox or Northfields who I think was told by Whelan in one of the boxes on the last home game that Puel was staying and his transfer budget was 50 plus sales.
