I'm as optimistic as anyone but who in the current top 6 are you planning on displacing?

It was only 2 years ago we displaced all 6 of them if fans of our club don't believe nobody can surely.

Short term we can, long term it's really, really difficult.

We're far more likely to move down the pecking order as that 7th, 8th, 9th best team than upwards. I'm as ambitious as the next man for my football club but we have to spend very well and the top six very poorly to compete with them. Their turnover is four or five times the size of ours and the mean reversion will work out eventually.

He's pulled out the deal. Apparently he's said "If them w4nkers on foxestalk can't get me to 100 pages he can't be arsed to sign" ITK.

Why does it have to be a top six, or a big six ?? Can't be it a seven or even eight ??

Not long ago it was the big four.

Not long ago Newcastle and Leeds were classed as big teams and title contenders. The "big teams" cycle in an out slowly over the years. It's not too unrealistic to expect one or two of the current "big six" to slip down the league and pave the way for a new temporary powerhouse.

It's basically wanting to be one of the teams that focus on how high up they finish rather than thinking about relegation. At the moment we are at the top of the second group. Relegation is still a possibility for us next season, and most of the other clubs in the league apart from the current top 6.

Hmmm, Burnley might dispute this.

Not long ago the so called Big 4 were Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. Man City and the club that came 3rd in a 2 horse race have only been added recently.
