Burnley lol lol lol

If Burnley get through to the europa league they stand a huge risk of being relegated. I cant see how their squad would cope that many fixtures.

Laurie Whitwell says Southampton never actually had any bid accepted.

This will be a new record fee paid for a Championship player apparently. What happened the last time we paid a record fee like that? ;)

Leicester to confirm £22m James Maddison on long-term deal on Tuesday

James Maddison is expected to be confirmed as a Leicester City player on a long-term deal on Tuesday, Sky Sports News understands.

Maddison passed a medical on Monday and has agreed personal terms with the Foxes, having decided against a switch to Southampton in order to be closer to his Coventry-based family home.

Sky Sports News reported on Sunday that both Leicester and Southampton had agreed identical packages worth in the region of £22m with Norwich to sign the England U21 midfielder.

That transfer fee is expected to rise to £24m if add-ons are realised.Leicester and Southampton are believed to have head a group of teams interested in Maddison that also included Fulham, Everton and West Ham.
He had also been scouted by top-four Premier League clubs Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Maddison scored 15 goals last season and, with their parachute payments due to end this year, Norwich have been willing to cash in on their most valuable player.

Norwich have been seeking between £20m and £25m for Maddison, who has represented England at U21 level.

Burnley can cope with a "no rotation" policy because they have to be "Dyche-fit" - obviously one of the less technically-gifted teams in the PL, the players have to be fitter than all the rest. Jack Cork covered more ground than anyone last season. George Boyd ran the equivalent of about 40 marathons  while at Turf Moor.

No Chance, doesn't matter how 'Dyche fit' you get you need a squad.

That is amazingly naïve.

It significantly matters. If you qualify, you'll be playing in the arse end of Europe on Thursdays with less recovery time for your League games. If you don't have depth in your squad and the ability to rotate then you'll suffer. As your team is built, as you said based on a fit squad, as I can see based on little rotation and regular consistent team sheet, the fact that you'll have to bring more players in, it brings you more problems.

I wish you to do well in Europe, but the reality is that it might well come at a cost, and either much lower position in the league, and/or relegation battle.
