winteriscoming Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Knowing our history with ex southampton managers - pearson and puel we'll probably end up with pellergrino!!!! 1
yorkie1999 Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Someone with a strong personality who’s not afraid of the players and doesn’t take shit from them. Someone who knows the club inside out and was responsible for us being here. Wonder who. 1
Guest Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 I'll stick with Puel and expect him to be able to buy in players he wants and get rid of some of our "champions".
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Jokanovic, hope Fulham don't go up and throw ****ing everything at him. 2

Webbo Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Pearson proved he couldn't cope with the pressure of the Premier League. I haven't got a clue who should be next. 1
Hammo Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 A man-manager with passion and balls who can communicate effectively in English and get the best out of the players at his disposal and restore excitement to the team's play. It might be a retrograde step to go for Big Nige but at least he'd offer that. And the fans would be on his side from day one. Puel was a gamble that has failed.
Stadt Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Rowett Howe Dyche and Benitez aren’t going to leave at all let alone for us ffs. Under our current regime we’ve appointed Sousa, Sven, a previous manger they didn’t want, a man that applied for the job and then the man who they didn’t want’s assistant. A relatively obscure appointment like Gallardo isn’t happening.
Old Fox Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Rafa is an immensely loyal man and is idolised by the Geordies - it would be a hell of a coup to get him but i think it is highly unlikely and I understand he is not the only Prem manager they are sounding out....watch this space as we could all be wearing ginger wigs rather than happy clappers!

breadandcheese Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 I love Pearson as much as the next man. Think he's up there in out history as one of our greatest managers. But I have a nagging doubt as to how effective he would be without his old team of Shakey and Walsh? 1

No idea but pound notes seem to talk quite loudly in this day and age. Both in his back pocket and by way of transfer budget. I honestly feel a bit disenchanted with it all because you just know what’s going to happen again under a new manager. Are this group of players now unmanageable? Would seem like it from recent past.

kingcarr21 Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Guy on radio just suggested getting in Frank Lampard with Harry Redknapp as his assistant 3
BACKO Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Would love Rafa. Proven track record and would draw some good players to the King Power. Still think he would prefer Newcastle if he had a transfer budget to play with. We can dream.
cityfanlee23 Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 Rowett (if he doesn't get promoted) Wenger Wagner Benitez Jokanovic (if he doesn't get promoted)

Tuna Posted 28 April 2018 Posted 28 April 2018 I'd go for Dyche. Make him a good offer and he'll take it. 1
