For the right price/wage i'd take him and get someone like Papy Mendy binned.

I think he offers something different to Iborra, Ndidi or Silva.

He's mediocre PL level at best.

i don't want to see us waste valuable resources on players who don't improve us or aren't young enough to have the potential to improve us. He probably won't get in ahead of Ndidi or Silva and we have loads of other options in CM with Choudhury, James, Iborra, King, Amarety and Mendy. I accept that apart from Choudhury and possibly Amartey who have potential the other four are not ideal squad players but still capable to a point. Either bring in an upgrade on what we have or keep the money for another day.

Imagine it. We badly need at least one new winger and yet we go and stuff all our beans on an 8th choice goalie and our 45th central midfielder. We duntgehafcuk

Strange signing! Technically not very good according to Juventus fans so would just fit in with the vast amount of central midfielders we already have! I’m also not sure why we’ve blown £10m on a bench keeper. I can see why players would want to move on atm. But we’ll see what happens

What do you think we are?

Is that what we should aspire to, just signing mid level PL players to an already bloated squad?

Either sign players who are a significant improvement on what we have or keep your tinder dry for the next player who does improve us. Your type of attitude has got us into this mess signing players that don't improve the first XI, give your head a shake.

You can improve the squad without improving the first 11.

I'd rather have a player like Stuaro in the wings than someone like Mendy, King or Amartey. Not sure why that's strange to you.

He won’t be signing unless we ship a lot of players out, it’s that simple

Good. Lets keep em.

I'd rather keep the £15m or so in our pockets and utilise the players that we have than just add another player who adds to the numbers and the wage bill but isn't good enough to oust someone from the first XI.

Anyone we acquire should fit into three categories:

a) Better than what we have in the first XI

b) Young with potential to be first XI

c) Cheap to add squad depth

That's why I never minded a signing like Hernandez who came here on a free. He came to supplement the squad and we thought he wasn't good enough and we sold him for a small profit that probably just about covered his salary whilst here I'd guess. Compare him to the other expensive signing who came here who weren't good enough to replace the first XI. Now we're lumbered with these players and can't move them on, Sturaro looks like a likely candidate to fall into this category.

I would say that 10-15m does count as your third option.

I would say what a waste of valuable resources when our net spend should average about £20m per season to break even long term.

The money needs to be handled better if we're to progress long term. It would be like the Danny Ward signing, pay the money and you already know there's a 95%+ chance you'll never be able to get your money back on these players.

I'd rather stick with Choudhury thanks and see what he has to offer in the coming two years rather than sign more mediocrity and stifle his development by pushing him further down the pecking order.

I’d be shocked if this guy isn’t one of those players who’s good at keeping the ball and not a lot else - the sort Puel would love.

He’s a less angry and slightly better on the ball version of Gattuso.

Not sure Juventus would let him go if that was the case. Gattuso was good enough to keep Rivaldo and Redondo sitting on the bench at AC Milan at points and played alongside Rui Costa and Seedorf from memory.

I saw Gattuso play live quite a few times for Rangers and once live for AC Milan. If this guy is a slightly better version of Gattuso, I'd have him in an instant

Juventus have Pjanic, Khedira, Can and Matuidi all ahead of him in the pecking order, plus Bentancur and Mandragora waiting in the wings. They are stacked for talent in midfield, he’s not a bad player in my opinion, being 5th in line at Juve is nothing to be ashamed of

That's was my point really. Gattuso was good enough to keep those players out so to be an improvement on him would make the guy pretty damn good.

I get what you're saying though, if those four are all that's keeping you out, you'd probably be pretty decent
