FoxyPalace.com Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 MMMmmmm Reject £25 Million from Bournemouth then take 20 Million Euro from Italy. I smell Bullshit.
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 19 June 2018 Popular Post Posted 19 June 2018 I think we should swap Gray, Slimani and Mendy for Anderson, Immobile and Milinkovic-Savic 1 5
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 They'll never match the wages he's on, so this ain't gonna happen unless we really want him off the books and lower the price. I think we should probably give him another season if RM has gone, more game time potentially, but he's gotta step up, and so far i've seen little to excite me from him.

I think the link is obviously a load of codswallop but actually, it would make sense to sell him to a foreign team rather than strengthan a rival - even if you were to get £5m+ less.
breadandcheese Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 Good links in the press that will hopefully stoke up a bidding war for him with Bournemouth and others.
Shane Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 That would be a good move for him. He’s still young and has time on his side but like many others I don’t really rate him. If we end up selling both Mahrez and Gray we’d have to sign two wingers which might be difficult. Unless we sign one more and promote Thomas to the first team squad.
STUHILL Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 No from me. He should get ONE more season here to make an impact. Puel will give him a chance, he just needs to take it. 3

I've never understood this line of argument. If we sell a player deemed not good enough for our first team then we're not really strengthening a rival, we're taking their money for an inferior player. If we refused to sell to another PL club they'd only buy another similar player and we'd be £5m poorer. That line of thought weakens us not our rivals as we become less rich. Personally I'm a big fan of Gray and think he has all the talent and ability in the world and would never consider selling him up to this point. Now I'm 50/50 on him being sold, he can still become a fantastic player but he's been here 2.5 years now and hasn't really kicked on and established himself in the first team. I think he would be a good replacement for Mahrez as I think his best position is down the right hand side but I would also be open to selling him for the right offer. If the £25m from Bournemouth was still on the table from last year then I'd probably sell but for £20m I'd probably keep him. 1

We should sell now as he's still got that 'hype' around him that he won't have when he inventibly fails next season.
foxy boxing Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 What English players actually go to Italy nowadays, He'll want to stay in the Premeir league or go to Spain.
norwichfox Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 Clearly Musa would be a better option for them..... 1
bpfox Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 ill take him to the airport, just so i know we have got rid of him, the bloke is a waste of space.
ZeGuy Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 (edited) NO. He'll have one more season here, he deserves it. If after that, he still didn't improve then we might think about selling him. Edited 19 June 2018 by ZeGuy 1

tsintskaro Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 I mean, even tho except few games he was really bad last season,i still wanna see him ahead of Albrighton and Diabate
Guest TaggertvsWise Posted 19 June 2018 Posted 19 June 2018 The guy has ability and potential that needs to be unlocked by a consistent club, with a consistent manager playing consistent football where he can learn and develop. I believe he will prove himself this season after a solid preseason and with other u21 regulars around him and nail down the left wing spot with Chilwell tucked in behind him and with Maddison occupying the right. Happy to be quoted and have this thrown back in my face in May 2019 if this hasn't been the case.
