Would make sense to keep now, between Vardy's dodgy groin and the possibility of a formation change to wide strikers instead of wingers

What is it with Nigerian newspapers, their online editions and their use of English?

"Frenetic Moves"

"spirited bid"

"cushion effects"

"stellar showing"

lol

If we are going to change formation then I'd keep him as he could alternate with Iheanacho when played alongside Vardy with Maddison just behind.

If he played like he did in the WC he'd be a star

But unfortunately his good spells have only so far lasted about two games in succession, the rest of the time he's been awful.

I don't know, I want him to do well, but now is the best time to cash in for him and I'd rather we did that.

Has he ever play more that 2 full games in succession?

Probably not come to think about it, this is the thing, even though we've seen him good and bad, we've never actually given him a prolonged run in the side, but that's been because he's been so awful in the previous game you couldn't really afford to carry him in the next should he perform the same.

I'd still rather sell than keep unfortunately.

We've given other players multiple opportunities after appearing poor, you have to have faith in a player and give them time to settle and acclimatise both on and off the pitch and not just rely on what you see on the training pitch of short cameos otherwise why bother bringing in new players.

I don't know whether he'd come good or not but I question whether he's been given a fair crack at proving it, likewise with Krameric, Mendy and others.

All valid points, I remember last season a lot of the players saying he was having a really good pre-season and then nothing came of it.

At the end of the day If the boss wishes to give him another go then I'd support it, like I say, I hope he does do well.

Brilliant news, let’s take a number nine and play him on the wing again and wonder why it didn’t all work out for a second time a bit later on.

He’s a winger though...

Think he might get a chance in pre-season. Vardy is going to need rest and his groin issue will be monitored (esp if it's a recurrence of previous). I think we might actually see him play upfront with Nacho behind in our friendlies. If it doesn't look like working out, or he shows he's not interested, then sell him off.

If Vardys not fit, it should be Iheanacho upfront with Maddison in behind.

Maddison will get a turn. But the Musa/Nacho pairing worked at the WC, so why wouldn't you test it for the club properly?

We've got 3 games so it would make sense to try and create an understanding between the two before the season starts.

3 games? Hmm, you do realise that's next to impossible. Why not utilise a pairing that already has an understanding to get some wins or certainly some positivity for the team. We're likely to sub heavily at half time for all three games anyways.

Not certain that Maddison is fit at the moment. He may not be ready for preseason, though I have read he should be fine by the time the actual season rolls around.

Let's give him a chance as we ain't can get all our money back if and when we bin him.  We have nothing to lose unless some Club comes in now and offers silly money on the back of the two goals against Iceland.

You’ve made a very good point, England at the earliest will be playing two weeks before our first pre season friendly. Suspect Maguire and Vardy will struggling to make the first game of the season.

Maddision also has an MCL knee injury..cant see him being fully fit for 1st game as its 5 weeks on Saturday.

He's in training at the moment now though? He's done that running test they do & been kicking a football so he's knee must be fine.

His best two games for us was at LW (against Palace and Spurs). Maybe it’s time we finally replaced Lloyd Dyer...

Blasphemy!

Hope so!  The knees are the things they risk the least though!
