1972 Fox Posted 30 June 2018 Posted 30 June 2018 Hoping we can offload some of the deadwood asap to give us more scope for reshaping the squad. Mahrez thread closed but I don't think he'll be first out. My understanding is that he is entitled to a bonus if he's still with us on 1st August. So wouldn't be surprised if he's still with us until then.

They have a season to prepare for and they don't want someone disrupting that so they can rock up at the last minute with a few quid more in their pocket. If Mahrez prioritises his bonus over his career then more the fool him. I think Mahrez will be a Man City player within the week so he starts pre season training for them on the 9th July.

Shane Posted 30 June 2018 Posted 30 June 2018 The following need to go imo: Simpson or Amartey: Preferably send Amartey out on loan so he can develop. If he does well he can be Simpsons replacement next season. Benalouane Deadwood Mahrez: Best for all parties if he goes this summer imo. King, James & Mendy: All surplus to requirements tbh. However I can see one of James/Mendy sticking around and Iborra leaving if the rumours are true. Musa: Deadwood. Kapustka: Needs to go for the sake of his own career. Slimani & Ulloa: Deadwood. Slimani will never fit in here. Thats 10 players plus Hamer and Huth who have already left. It’s unrealistic we will be able to get rid of all 10 as some are on big contracts, but all of the above have nothing to offer us (bar Mahrez). 1

mozartfox Posted 30 June 2018 Posted 30 June 2018 If he is still here on 31st July there will be another 150 pages of shite to wade through on FT. Please Mahrez just leave. 3
Orange seat Posted 30 June 2018 Posted 30 June 2018 It won’t be big Wes by looking at the new club shop front
Strokes Posted 30 June 2018 Posted 30 June 2018 Musa, I think he will generate a fair bit of interest after the WC performances.

HighPeakFox Posted 1 July 2018 Posted 1 July 2018 I apologise for the misplaced pedantry (well, only half-heartedly) for pointing out that Iborra's first name is actually Vicente.
Hack Posted 1 July 2018 Posted 1 July 2018 Ulloa. Iborra. Slimani. I have a feeling that Musa will stay with his Nigerian teammates Ndidi and Kelechi. Okazaki I think will be allowed to leave.

Why do you want a player to leave who should be considered one of the best buys the club has ever made, and a manager who's done ok so far but is forward-thinking and is trying to put (which it seems at the moment) to put every aspect on and off-the-field together in order for the club to have the best chance of success possible? 1
Popular Post katieakita Posted 1 July 2018 Popular Post Posted 1 July 2018 Hopefully we can offload some of our "Fans" to Spuds slagging off Silva and a guy who has never kicked a ball for us yet for being part of a team that lost to Uruguay 11

Apparently Riyad is due a bonus if he's still a Leicester player on 1st August. Doesn't mean an agreement couldn't be reached to get a deal done sooner which would be in our best interests. I imagine it depends on how greedy Mahrez is and also how much our owners are prepared to compromise. Edited 1 July 2018 by Blue Fox 72
Gerard Posted 1 July 2018 Posted 1 July 2018 I personally think Man City will get very impatient if Mahrez is holding up the deal because of money. They start pre season on the 9th July and their impatience will be wearing very thin if he's not fully committed to the interests of Man City.
Fox1norfolk Posted 1 July 2018 Posted 1 July 2018 Marez has effectively 'disappeared'. His profile would have been boosted dramatically if he he been involved in the World Cup, it would have been the perfect showcase to demonstrate his talent, Other players at the WC have been very impressive so perhaps interest at Man City in Marez is now waning..

I think most fans want Mahrez to leave now and its nothing to do with his ability or what he has done for us, he doesnt want to be here and the longer he is, the more potential damage he can cause in the dressing room. Of course we all would love a motivated Mahrez that wants to be here, to stay, but that mahrez doesnt exist and hasnt for at least 6 months. Anyone who thinks we should keep Mahrez when he doesnt want to here must be deluded. No player is bigger than our club! 5
