So what's the problem then. Don't tell me, you'd like to see a rotation policy at centre back and his wages are coming out of your back pocket.

Whats the problem? He doesn't play at all! hes on huge wages for a player who probably wont make an appearance. Id sooner blood on of the youngsters in the first team and try and develop them than pay Benny's wages.

The four we've signed are good solid signings, in positions where we were crying out for cover/improvement,  and maybe we're going to adapt to a different style but..........

We all saw how dull and turgid it was in the latter half of last season and we've now sold our most creative player, who weighed in with more than his fair share of goals and assists.

For whatever reasons we don't seriously seem to be looking at replacing him and that's worrying me.

I'm holding out hope that our poor run last season was down to us carrying players who weren't up to it and that Puel's style will be far more effective with suitable quality players for each position. That's probably why I'm more worried about us being a player short than I usually would be.

Who knows what we are doing with Alcacer.

We spent £24m on Maddison and we are gonna rotate him with this guy on £120k pw?

Yeah he's a decent player but we can't sign them all.

If we somehow got Meyer I'd suspect you'd see him playing in one of the 3 behind Vardy or in a 3 in central midfield. His effortless ability to play different roles is the bonus though, we can try and shoehorn some players in to other roles but currently we've 3 wingers and too many regimented central midfielders and forwards. The dream would be to lose 3-4 central midfielders and Meyer to be the perfect foil alongside Ndidi.

They already are being "blooded", but i still can't see what his wages has got to do with anything, seems a good price to pay for someone who is cannon fodder in training sessions.

This is surely true, we ran out of midfielders and had Morgan and Simpson in the back 4 with Hamer in goal by the last month.

The major issue of defenders not being able to pass has been addressed and we've got in a creative player as well.

I think a little bit of the negativity comes from the transfers being done so early.

I bet sky ain't too happy with this, kind of ruins the last minute transfer excitement that so many fans get sucked into.

Possibly, I feel that we will struggle creatively unless we bring in a quality winger still though- a Mahrez replacement is as much of a priority as a new RB was at the start of the window in my eyes.

This.

The notion that we can get a like for like new version of Mahrez is dreaming.

However another type of player with creativity or someone who drives forward with the ball from midfield would help massively.

As things stand I fear its going be more of what we endured for the last 20 games of last season.

Why would it be better with what looks like less options at the business end of the pitch?

Dynamism and / or creativty are key.

For some reason I feel as though there are still a lot of outgoings to happen before the end of the window (Ulloa, Slim, king and James). With at least 2 more new faces to come in (Gibson, B Traore....hopefully ziyech instead but unlikely)

I hope I'm right!

There's clearly a reason no one has gone in for Ziyech. They don't even want that much money for him in the circumstances.

Can definitely see us signing a centre back maybe even before the weekend given Evans and Maguire won't play against United.

Also the reason no one is in for Ziyech is probably down to how one dimentional he is.

When I went to see Ajax it was Neres and Kluivert who stood out.

Ziyech just moves from central midfield to just behind the striker occasionally spreading it wide.

We've already got a Number 10 so there's no need for him here, he didn't impress me at all in that game and didn't exactly show much at the world cup.

Neres is where it's at for us! Or anyone!

This is what i think - I don't know if we're going to sign anyone. I do find it amusing people seem to think i know every bit of transfer news going - I just hear odd bits and occasionally post what I can. It might get to the stage where the next person who messages me I'll just make something up!

Benalouane was a terrible signing and the only reason he's still here is because we can't shift him. He'll be gone next season when his contract is up regardless of whether he's happy to be a reserve or not.

It is odd, he seems to be a freak in his creative productivity.

Another defender lessens the chances of another wide player even more unless we somehow move on 2-3 of Musa, Slimani, Ulloa, Okazaki and King. I wonder if we'll gamble on the fact we'll move some of these on after our window closes, would we be willing to take that risk as you can see other clubs wanting us to become desperate rather than take our dross now.

You're dead right, everyone in the world knows this, maybe his signing was part of the steve walsh masterplan of fvcking us up for not giving him a dof job.
