In my 50's now and really struggling with these. Obviously over the years I've had some stinkers but now, even after just 6 or 7 pints I'm wrecked all the next day till literally bed time. Anybody else suddenly started suffering after reaching the big 50 ?

I've always been able to hold my beer and am possibly classed as a big drinker by those that know me. But now although I can still drink I'm a feckin lightweight at recovering

My tactic is to stop drinking at least an hour or two before bed. So if I'm down the pub/bar (which is rare these days), I'll drink a good few pints but once it gets to say, 11.30 - 12.00, i'll switch to water or soft drinks. Then by the time I get home and go to bed I'm already sobering up a bit.

I'm nearly late 20s and already hate my hangovers lol. Going in to 2-day territory after a massive night out.

Tactic to try and combat it is to just down a pint or 2 of water before going bed, if I remember.

I usually just have a pint of water and leave the paracetamol next to the bed for the following morning's skull-smasher. Though to be honest it's getting harder to get over them as I get older, I can't imagine having 7 pints in my 50s and not feeling shit the next day.

I don't usually drink to get drunk so I don't get more than 1 or 2 hangovers a year. Very rarely get headaches but I tend to feel sick as a dog all day.

Don’t complain just embrace it, it was self inflicted and won’t last too long. Can of coke n a sausage sandwich will tide you over. If it’s a weekend or holiday hair of the dog

Eat a cucumber before bed

If you crave cucumbers while wankered you really are a strange one lol I’m more of a wake up using a pizza as a pillow type of drunk.

My hangovers are terrible (but I've always put it down to the fact I'm not a massive drinker). I'm usually always sick in the morning and occasionally on the night itself.... And I'm only mid 20's.

When I've got a hangover I always go for a bottle of lucozade and, if nearby, a McDonalds meal. McDonalds hungover is one of the best things for me.

Just get straight back on it. Only real way of sorting it out.

Go to a pub at least a couple of miles from home. Leave your car at the pub and walk home. A bit of fresh air and exercise and you will sleep right through till the morning. If you are still a bit squiffy then walk back to collect your car. Never fails.

I'm retired and my tolerance to alcohol has dropped dramatically over the last ten years or so, frustrating as many of my friends of the same vintage appear unaffected.  But I can manage a hangover now after only a couple of pints.
