Foxestalk can get polarised by which biscuit is the best or what you put on your chips (don't mention pea wet and you'll be fine) this is true. But every year there's an especially obsessive subject for the idiots on here to get especially tribal about.

We've had Wellens, Gallagher, Nugent, Pearson, you name it. For some reason, half the forum will completely abandon all reason and refuse to acknowledge that said person can be something other than entirely awful or entirely divine. I can well see that being Chilwell this year.

I appreciate your concern but I'm fine, by the way, it doesn't upset me it just wildly bores me to tears and puts me off the LCFC section. Let's be fair, it's ironically the worst section of FT by a mile.

I knew you and I would find common ground if we just tried hard enough

It was a flippant post, as most of mine are. I was actually surprised you bothered to answer it. For the record, I neither think Chilwell is the incarnate of Paolo Maldini nor Wayne Quinn. Something we agree on at last it seems.

Ugh. Is Chilwell going to be the latest ridiculously polarising topic on ft this year?

HE'S SHIT - **** THE FANBOYS

HE'S GOD - **** THE HATERS

Everyone normal: he carries the ball well and has a lot of promise, if he can work on his consistency and his defensive positioning he could be a real asset.

As Matt Elliott said he does well in the middle of the pitch but lacks a lot of quality at both ends

That's pretty similar to what I've said to my dad while watching him tbf, I'd agree with that.

His end product and defensive positioning can both be very sloppy but his running with the ball and his link up around midway can be explosive. He's fantastically direct and with his pace it startles defenders.

James Maddison: Leicester look like a team again after disappointing results against Liverpool and Bournemouth. Do Leicester fans have any idea what team their manager is going to play from one week to the next, because I don't have a clue. I wonder if Claude Puel tinkers with the team just to keep it interesting. One player who is a fixture in the team at the moment is James Maddison. I'm sure he would benefit from a settled side like the rest of us. As for Huddersfield, in the words of Dad's Army's Private Frazer - "we're doomed".

Did you know? Maddison has either scored or assisted in four of his past five Premier League starts for Leicester City (three goals, one assist).

Puts him in the Team of the Week and somehow manages to mention nothing about his performance and instead has a dig at the club. And Huddersfield??

Kind of fair though. I thought we were doing wing backs now I'm fairly confused but as long as we're getting the results and playing well. And he probably watched MOTD highlights, saw the free kick, add him into his team selection then went to the post office with his invoice...

Ironically thought the performance against Liverpool was much better than Huddersfield. Just lacked Vardy.

Agreed. The freekick and him being a young English talent is upping the hype a bit. Even the commentators during the game were gushing when he mostly played sideways passes.

Mendy on the other hand hardly got a mention despite being excellent in his distribution and decision-making. He was the standout player for us.

I keep reading quotes like this, we were appalling against Bournemouth and apart from Morgan he made two changes, one of those being the right back who was poor and Gray who is rarely anything else. Whats the problem?

Garth Crooks

Goalkeeper: Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester)

This was a monumental test of mental strength for Kasper Schmeichel and his team-mates.

“I noticed in the line-up during the minute's silence before the game that Schmeichel was still emotional from the awful events that took place at Leicester City Football Club last Saturday.

“Nevertheless, it didn't stop the Dane from producing a first-class performance against Cardiff and a clean sheet.”

Centre-back: Wes Morgan (Leicester)

“If ever a captain needed to keep his troops calm in an emotionally charged atmosphere then this was it.

“Wes Morgan was superb in defence against Cardiff and kept his team-mates focused on the job at hand.”

Chilwell unlucky not to get any mention despite BBC making him man of the match as well.

Yeah but then Garth would be putting players in position rather than putting a forward at wing back
