I get that. I know you've not mentioned the manager but I struggle to see what Southgate can do about these issues though. When you're a national team manager you've got the players that you've got.

I'd definitely be looking to call Wilson up to the squad. I'm surprised it didn't happen as soon as Vardy retired to be honest.

He's at best a steady eddy in that Spurs squad. Put him in say Brighton's team and he wouldn't stand out for them.

Yeah fair point. The World Cup as an example though, why persist with Kane when he’s dead on his feet and offering nothing. Just not sure he has the balls to make the big decisions. 

 

Not trying to sound like a doom merchant and I do think we have some individual talent but we’re desperately lacking in key areas. Hopefully some youngsters coming through will get and take their chances
