why you think that?

Well if your job is 'supposedly' on the line, surely you will do everything in your power to secure it? Wouldnt that mean not acting irrationally and acting on a like from a players wife on a social media account?

Im not saying you or i am right, just how i see it.

Makes sense to me to drop Vardy, if you're not going to play to get the most out of him why play him?

We've seen him playing in a system that doesn't suit him and he's wasted. I'd rather play players that suit what the manager is trying to do.

Personally I think it's criminal to drop him, we need him to give the team the boost he does when he goes in hard on one of the defenders. This gets the crowd going and lifts the team (unless of course he gets a red for it).

I think if your job is on the line you're beleaguered and adopt a "if you're not with me you're against me" kind of position.  Otherwise you would play a player who can score against wham even if he were not 100%.  So I doubt it is about fitness - it is about something else....  something much darker

Isn't this the problem though, we're not really seeing this as much as previous seasons. He just seems to faff around and point

This thing about system not suiting Vardy is total bollocks, he’s scored about 20 in 40 games under Puel. His scoring is up on anything he produced under Shakespeare and the second season under Ranieri

He hasn’t done that in about 3 seasons

Can you explain the red card this season then?

Doesn't do it nowhere near as often k agree, but when he does he lifts the entire team and stadium.

The red card we were in possession and he miscontrolled the ball. Therefore lost his temper and made an awful challenge

you are bang on in terms of vardy's chasing downlifting the team... unfortunately all the things that vardy does great do not fit with puels viewpoint...

A lot of supposition in that comment, especially the last part. :P

Like i said earlier i dont think he will be dropped completely and if he doesnt start then he will come off the bench. (Which sways towards the fact he wasnt 100% fit.)

Anyway lets see when the team gets announced and regardless of what Puel decides to do. Lets win this!

A manager should be able to utilise all the best players he has in his squad. The fact is that Vardy is the joint leading goal scorer this season, he also has at least one assist. This is ahuge gamble and without him we are a poorer side.

Exactly my arguement last season, whilst I understand it was the start of him trying to implement his style but i'm sorry you get the best out of what you have - he didn't.

He's since had a summer, to get rid of who he wants to (Easier said than done, I understand that) and get the players he wants in, the suit his style...we're still having the same discussion and it still isn't right, now I don't expect it to magically change instantly but I see very little improvement.

If players are unhappy with Puel, I'm fine with that but you still need to be professional.

People whining to the press and taking sly digs is out of order and no matter what people think of the manager, it shouldn't be condoned.

The writing is on the wall for Puel, but I'm glad he's got the guts to try and deal with it.

Why didn't he bite the bullet and do it last season?

He had two options imo, you either do what i've said above, getting the best out of what you have until you can change in it the summer or you lay the law down, bite the bullet, upset a few but you then move on and get over it (During the summer).

If Puel was tougher from the start i'd probably give him just a little bit more respect.

Do we? Ok then. Thanks for speaking for all of us.

So are you seriously seeing that this can work out and Puel will succeed, honestly?

Fair enough if you support Puel and want him to succeed but I think you are abit deluded (And I don't mean that in an offensive way) if you see it ending any other way that him being sacked.

Player power strikes again, only this time we have a manager who won't be dictated to. I really hope this turns out well, if not, we'll be back to square one again!

No, I am objecting to someone arrogantly saying what 'we' can all see. I speak only for myself here, I wish others would too.

Love Vardy but if he's being a snake and can't accept his manager's decision he can have a rest for a while.

Iheanacho to bag a hat-trick. The new Leicester to emerge from the ashes.

I'd like to think that this is nothing more than Puel not being convinced that Vardy has had enough time in practice this week after being ill.  If any other player had been ill during the week, we wouldn't think anything of them not being in the starting line up, but because it's being reported by the media its suddenly a big deal.

Told you didn't see that one coming (although some here are saying it's not a surprise it's clearly a brave move.) ........Just saying!

So,did Vardy say he was fine playing at Arsenal....only to then say he wasn't  after the manager had made all the subs?If so i'd back the manager on this one and i'm not a puel fan at all!

Sorry Alf, one too many inscrutables, otherwise spot on

With hindsight, one too few "inscrutables", I'd say. The repetition was deliberate but needed one more to make that clear.

He really is very inscrutable. Possibly the most inscrutable person I've ever seen. :D

Bit of an over reaction here  lol.  I honestly can’t see what all the fuss is about ...   player unwell misses training so managers rests him.

The fact JV says he’s ready is irrelevant ...   he may well be feeling fit but he’s missed training and therefore the build up and planning.   The fact his ferociously loyal missus has posted something on social media is even less relevant.  Who cares !!?  JV is a legend who will most likely see out his days at our club ..   he is also very professional and super keen to play ...   nothing wrong with that and whatever happens today he will still give his all for the manager and the club ...    as he has proved so many times in the past.

Journos love to stir up sh1t ...   and !!    Not sure if they were direct quotes to Percy anyway ..   it may well all be bolox and he is playingafter all.  Let’s wait and see.   Personally ...   if he isn’t playing then just for once we may actually have a fantastic impact sub who could come on and change the game when the opposition is tired ...   :)

this.

We haven't actually been unbeatable with Vardy up front this season. I'm very happy to see an alternative possibility.

Even though you're a cryptic fvck I still appreciate the info, part of the fun is trying to decrypt your hints ;)
