I hope we win every game but especially today as I can’t be arsed reading “We should have played Vardy !!!” Hundreds of times and each person posting it as if they were the only one thinking it.

Today’s game just reeks of a palace away style crisis, bet pelligrini can’t believe his luck playing us today.... could be the game that finally tips the dressing room over the edge, can see a “throwing the towel” in situation developing

If / when we concede an early goal I can see this exact situation developing!

This could be a really good game. I’m wrestling with respecting medical advice to stay off my feet or hobbling along to the game.

Hobble to a nice comfy chair in front of a tv with BT sport on ...

Says a lot about the players if they get upset over one player getting dropped. If they act like that then there's no point in ever hiring another manager. Why don't they just run it themselves.

I think we've been here before with Ranieri.

That’s just too simplistic imo. Probably why you’ve got 4 likes already.

A strong manager would surely take one of the club’s best ever strikers and still our best striker, get him under his wing and get him performing. Revolution not evolution is generally more effective. Even contemplating dropping Vardy, and playing the likes of Ghezzal, Mendy and Amartey appears crazy. As I said, IF this is the way Puel is going, it better work.

I've always imagined you as a David Brent kinda character!

This seems to have become so confrontational ....... Percy reporting it means the player has leaked it so he certainly isn’t happy about it. Couple that with his insta posts about being ready to play and you have a fairly public manager v player stand off.

puel could have played it differently and taken the approach that he wanted Vardy to play against soton on Tuesday and again next sat at Cardiff, thus making today better to have a game off, especially given he had been suffering with a dodgy stomach. the player may not have liked it but he may have accepted it. i would bet a large sum of money that if puel was even thinking this way, he hasn’t communicated it to the player.   The public message that Vardy hadn’t been able to train properly this week would have saved any ‘player dropped’ headlines which aren’t pleasant for any professional with an ego.

Now we we have a situation where a poor result today will be bloody ugly in the stadium ..........   and it surely could have been avoided - I don’t subscribe to sacking the manager (that might be changing) but I do subscribe to him not being in control of the message, both internally and externally.

I agree with this.... And think it's as simple as Puel not having a great grasp of English, so cannot take control of the situation from a PR perspective because he's unaware of the nuances of the language being used. Let's face it we are reading into a few tweets, how would anyone be able to see the hidden messages in their second language?

Exactly my arguement last season, whilst I understand it was the start of him trying to implement his style but i'm sorry you get the best out of what you have - he didn't.

He's since had a summer, to get rid of who he wants to (Easier said than done, I understand that) and get the players he wants in, the suit his style...we're still having the same discussion and it still isn't right, now I don't expect it to magically change instantly but I see very little improvement.

Why didn't he bite the bullet and do it last season?

He had two options imo, you either do what i've said above, getting the best out of what you have until you can change in it the summer or you lay the law down, bite the bullet, upset a few but you then move on and get over it (During the summer).

If Puel was tougher from the start i'd probably give him just a little bit more respect.

So are you seriously seeing that this can work out and Puel will succeed, honestly?

Fair enough if you support Puel and want him to succeed but I think you are abit deluded (And I don't mean that in an offensive way) if you see it ending any other way that him being sacked.

See my response to Babylon.

Do what in the summer? He's dumped loads of players, he's made his choices but he can't force players out of the club. We had too many aging and shit players that needed replacing, you can't bin the whole squad in one window.

With hindsight, one too few "inscrutables", I'd say. The repetition was deliberate but needed one more to make that clear.

He really is very inscrutable. Possibly the most inscrutable person I've ever seen. :D

Indubitably Alf!  Inscrutable is his raison d'être
