I know tradition dictates that we don't have a next match thread until the previous game is completed, but with there being so much to discuss I thought it worth starting one now.

There are various discussions about the 5000-1 Walk to the Stadium, pre match minute's silence, Scarves up, arms around each other, applause etc, as well as whatever the club may be planning around Remembrance Day etc, I thought it would be good to get it all down here so we can be organised as we possibly can. This is potentially going to be the most emotional day in our history.

I also think the "mobile phone lights on" tribute would look brilliant, maybe in 60th minute?

No need to do anything during the game. Like I just said on the other thread, do a minute silence etc before the game, get it over with and get out there and win. The best tribute would be to get behind the lads all game.

Absolutely. It's going to be emotional.

I will probably take part in the walk to the ground before the game. Obviously being the remembrance day game there will be usual minutes silence for that. Hopefully WYS can get resurrected at some point.

Going to be 100% behind the team from the off and throughout the entire game come what may. The whole team (and the manager!!) has a free pass off me for quite some time.

I suppose it will depend on their individual commitments but wouldn't it be great to have Claudio, Big Nige, Sven and Shakey all at the game.

It'll be a unique and emotional occassion so to have all managers to have been under Vichai there for that would be incredible.

I’m assuming that there will be a dedicated memorial service at the ground at some point, at which supporters and current/former players and staff can pay respects together.

Do you think they will somehow find a way to get this on tv even if it is a 3 o clock Saturday game?

It’s against the rules I’m afraid ...... will be streams as per usual and the pre match stuff will probably be shown live on SSN

I haven’t got a ticket as was working but I’ve managed to get the day off just so i can go down and join the 5000 walking to the game

I know they wouldn't normally but thinking more for all of the tributes etc. Maybe they will have a lot of coverage pre match compared to normal

I think we can say for certain that the tradition of getting a helicopter to land on the pitch and deliver the match ball will be scrapped for this one and possibly all rememberance day fixtures in the future

Already has been since we've been in the prem.

From talking to people inside the club today after the press conference, the feeling is they'll be going balls out to make this a very, very special occasion.

No specific details were mentioned but they know what they're doing when it comes to tributes.

It would be great to see some ex players and managers involved. I suspect everyone wants to be there.

Just imagine if Bocelli came out and sang Time To Say Goodbye, christ I couldn't cope with that!!

He is in the country on tour currently (O2 Greenwich this weekend) so who knows? Time to Say Goodbye would probably flood the pitch

I agree that all official gestures should be organised by the club but I also think some kind of noise or a song as a token of our appreciation on 60 minutes would be a great personal touch. I realise this has happened before but on this occasion the whole ground would be involved and it would be special.

My suggestion would be repeating the first line from the chorus of Dido - Thank you

"IIIIII want to thank you for giving me the best dayyyy of my life"

That's the only way I can think of actually saying thank you as a crowd, something most of us never had the chance to do.

Totally agree. Vichai and family are highly driven winners, they didn't become multi-billionaires and bring us the league via any other way. Best way to honour them is 3 points. That's all.

Could we see the ex managers who worked under Vichai sitting together alongside Top at this game?. An unthinkable concept  before this terrible tragedy however most have them have been to the stadium to pay their respects this week and it would be a fitting way to support Top and honour his dad if they were invited.

Quite like the lyrics to Days by The Kinks, Kirsty Maccoll amongst others.

Thank you for the days
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me
I'm thinking of the days
I won't forget a single day believe me

I bless the light
I bless the light that lights on you believe me
And though you're gone
You're with me every single day believe me

Days I'll remember all my life
Days when you can't see wrong from right
You took my life
But then I knew that very soon you'd leave me
But it's alright
Now I'm not frightened of this world believe me

Third verse might need a tweak. :dunno:

Is there anything we could wear on lapels (like a flower, although I'm aware of the clash with the Remembrance Day fixture), some symbol or different flower which has some symbolism? Just a random thought really.

I think in Buddhist culture white is worn when grieving as hope that the deceased will be reborn into the next life so I'm tempted to go for a white poppy and tick off both boxes
