Read somewhere that the value of the currency, overall, is declining now due to the number of users using it.

Seems as if theres been a too much of a boom, and now some are quite 'anti-climaxed' about using it.

If you want to take the risk, feel free.

I’ve done it in the past, the problem was it was just so volatile. You could literally 10x your money in a couple of minutes then within the hour it’s halved what it was when you bought it.

Couple of lads at my old work put a shit load of money in to Zil start of last year. I mean they haven’t lost anything yet because they haven’t taken their money out but it absolutely tanked pretty much as soon as they invested.

I feel like if you’re going to invest money you’re better off doing it in financial stocks or spending it down the bookies but each to their own isn’t it.

**before anyone starts, yes, I understand that giving your money to a bookmaker isn’t investing but you see my point**

just Reading about a crypto company called Quadriga - the owner died unexpectedly and nobody was able to access the computer containing $180 million worth of clients coins for months. They’ve just got access and the wallets are empty.

It’s basically like gambling with dodgy bookies which could shut down and take all your money at any time.

You can do spread betting on crypto currencies, betting whether the price will go up or down. Still risky as if you bet the wrong way you lose your dough, but you're not actually buying the currency. I've done spread betting on shares, gold, FTSE 100 with varying degrees of success / failure.

At this point In time GBP may as well be Crypto currency to me, as I’ve not withdrawn any physical cash for years.

Actual crypto currencies are far to volatile to be considered a good investment strategy.
