Dare i say it, but is it likely he is wielding too much dressing room power?  Playing him 3 times in one week is almost scandalous, and i struggle to believe the manager wants to do this.  Last 2 games he has looked absolutely knackered at about 70 mins, and its hardly surprising. I felt one of the last 2 he should have started as sub, and am surprised Vardy himself hasn't even requested being rested. Can only assume that he has become so desperate to play and is able to put the pressure on to do so, that is clouding what is actually right. Performance against Palace was evidence enough that he needed rotating.

Who else do we play?

Daka ? Edouard?

He needs a rest we all know that. No doubt you won’t follow up here or provide any context at all. Just slag and then go quiet.

What context do you need?

People slagging him off, saying he's robbing the club, that's he's demanding to play etc

We moan that the club don't honour legends when the fans themselves don't.

So there you go, not going quiet.

Can't play him 90minutes every game. Three times in a week, one against QPR which feels unnecessary. It's great that he's fit and healthy but we need to get the most out of him and that isn't by playing him every minute at this stage.

Yeah fabulous options. I wish Vardy would stop getting into the dressing room before Ruud and writing his name on the team sheet

Shouldn't be starting 3 times in a week.

Sadly the idiot who has largely built this squad has got us into a situation where he is the only competent striker in the first team. It is quite unbelievable

Yes - you start Daka against Palace. First half Palace were sitting back and offered very little, and Vardy missed several golden chances. Vardy offered no more than Daka could have done in that half. You then bring Vards on about 65 mins as an impact. At 65 mins against Palace he was completely gassed.

He's a sh*** captain let's be honest

It's not doing him any favours especially if it means he start to start and stay on for the full 90, not that there is many other choices but he's never been captain material only really started being a thing last season.

Would never hammer Vardy ever NUT its the state of the club that in the Premier league we are still relying on Vards and he is our number 1 striker.

This is like having that old bloke at work you all rely on over the years when hes near to retirement  and management  havent got a replacement  for him even though they know his time is coming to an end.

Sums up our management

The context I needed is why you hated our the entire base lol I’m pretty sure 90% of fanbase are not slagging him off, saying he's robbing the club, that's he's demanding to play etc. there are a couple outliers who said it and will be purely reactionary. He is out of form, he needs a rest, he’s 38. Doesn’t change the fact he is a legend and always will be. Enough said, thanks for providing clarity. 👍🏻

We're already relegated in my eyes and there's nothing we can do to change that.

I'll be wanting Vardy to play as many minutes as possible between now and the end of the season and I'll be savouring every moment of it regardless of how past it or not he may look.

Not even sure I'd class him as competent right now.

Some of the chances he's missing are costing us games just as much as the poor defending.

Apart from last season when he held that team talk that ultimately got us promoted when Enzo completely ran out of ideas and was heading towards the biggest bottle since Rodgers.

Club legend but it shows what a state the club are in playing him every week at his age and partnering him with Ayew is even more comic, shows just how poor the recruitment  has been and  we have no youngsters that can challenge the current front line with all the money put into the training facilities etc., :dunno:

He's a lead by example captain. So, when he scores early against West Ham or relatively late on against Brighton, it lifts him, the team and the crowd.  However, when things aren't working it has the opposite effect. He's clearly running his socks off and gives a shit. But in our predicament that isn't good enough when leading by example no longer works. You will notice that no one in the team questions him, and yesterday i saw very little interaction between Vardy and the squad beyond Vardy pointing for BEK to press. Its why heads drop so fast when we go 1-0 down. There is no one there to guide them.

Yeah the guy shouldn’t be playing 3 games in a week. It’s our own fault. We’re basically running him into the ground and expecting results. Not the way to treat our GOAT, and an even sadder way to retire on this note. We need a big reset.

This board will over see a relegation in The GOAT’s last season with us after everything he’s done for Leicester.

Could there be a sadder ending?

That's football, Leicester City is bigger than Jamie Vardy.

If anything, getting relegated means Vardy has a better chance at getting a new contract:vardy:

Daka offered something different against Palace that could have worked, especially as they sat back and flooded the midfield in the first half. As you can see from the game, the difference between the 2 teams was Vardy not converting chances.  Starting Daka and bringing Vardy on (even if it was still only 0-1 at the time) offered something more compelling than we we actually did.

Not if Vards is using his own influence and power with the board to ensure he plays. He might believe that the only way out of our predicament is for him to play/score to lift the team and the board may well be in agreement with that and putting the pressure on the manager. If (and it's an if, but i have my suspicions) thats the case, then it's the boards fault.
