Even if it isn't a 15/20 goals a season player, you need a Giroud type player who sets others up and brings others into the game Calvert Lewin does neither Edited 23 August 2019 by UniFox21
Super_horns Posted 23 August 2019 Share Posted 23 August 2019 (edited) Have Everton had a worthwhile chance yet ? Villa holding out quite comfortably so far . Edited 23 August 2019 by Super_horns

Sigurdsson was £40m, Richarlison was over £35m, then the amount on Digne, Mina etc That's not even including Iwobi and the 5,000 midfielders they bought this summer

Iwobi is bang average Can’t see Moise Kean being their much needed Lukaku replacement. Delph Gomes is just your standard midtable midfielder tbh. No better than Doucoure, Neves, Moutinho, Youri, etc. Gbamin as Gueye’s replacement. Really? H.a.r.r.y Posted 23 August 2019 Share Posted 23 August 2019 Some Everton fans actually think Gomes is at the same level as Tielemans
UniFox21 Posted 23 August 2019 Share Posted 23 August 2019 Iwobi, Bernard, Richarlison and Walcott If that doesn't scream mid table mediocrity idk what does
sdb Posted 23 August 2019 Share Posted 23 August 2019 Gomes has given one of the worst individual performances I've seen in years.

UniFox21 Posted 23 August 2019 Share Posted 23 August 2019 That sums up Villa. 78mins on the clock, Oliver whistles a few times to book a player and a quarter of Villa park cheer thinking its full time
Popular Post Finnegan Posted 23 August 2019 Popular Post Share Posted 23 August 2019 What strikes me about Everton is that they always sign players on their way down. It's always everyone's cast offs. Iwobi, Kean, Gomes, Walcott, Mina, Digne, Delph, they're always signing downwards. Meanwhile we're nearly always signing upwards, picking up upwardly mobile players whose stock will rise here. I get signing a few experienced pros from big clubs on their way down but as a whole transfer policy just getting everyone else's cast offs, it's never, ever going to produce success.

Goober Posted 23 August 2019 Share Posted 23 August 2019 (edited) Who from this Everton squad do we feel would actually strengthen our 11? Richarlison, maybe Digne? They're all good players but on paper their side is very uninspiring for me. Lacking real pace too, apart from Walcott who is ****ing crap Edited 23 August 2019 by Goober
