brucey Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 I'm sure last year the club's official social media celebrated both. And why not?
Stadt Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 I couldn’t sleep at all when I got in. I wish I’ll get to feel euphoria like that ever again but I doubt it

HybridFox Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 He would genuinely have a sell out show if he ever played in Leicester again
bovril Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 The 7th was great, but the 2nd of May is the date I will always remember.

boots60 Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 May 7th for me. Although a Chelsea fan for 90 minutes on 2nd May, the 7th will always stand out as the greater occasion. The lifting of the trophy, the stroll to a win against Everton, the whole atmosphere around the town before the game (remember the Italians!) & after the game up High Street, marked the 7th as the real celebration. Although worse for wear by the end of the day, I can still remember every second of the 7th May 2016 as though it were yesterday.
Koke Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 May 2nd for me. I will never ever feel the same level of pleasure and euphoria as I did when Mr Hazard put that into top bins. May 7th was a celebration. May 2nd was a cluster**** of raw emotional outburst that I never knew I had in me.

I went absolutely apeshit when he scored but at the final whistle I just sat there staring at the TV numb.
Stadt Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Seeing the gold C 1. Leicester City was absolutely f ucking mental
Spudulike Posted 7 May 2019 Author Posted 7 May 2019 Hmmm, just trying to remember where I was on 7th May, 3 years ago. Oh yeah, of course !!

But still think I'd preferred us to do it on the pitch at old Trafford. Having let it sink in briefly. I phoned a close relative that was the reason I started going down the city. Whilst the whole county it seemed was in the pub, outside the KP. I was a lone man sitting on the phone, in disbelief. For me I'm not sure you can ever top the whole event the Everton game was. The singing inside and outside the ground. The surprise that awaited us before the game. The total opposite to pissed up lesta v Brighton on the pitch. The moment we watched wes lift it. Was all magical. Much better to see events in the flesh for me that something that happened 120 miles away on a tv screen.
sylofox Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Not sure I get some of this. Yes the Hazzard goal was one of the greats in our history. But all it did was seal the deal. A loss at home to villa and an away loss at spuds and that goal would have meant feck all. Great as it was it never won us the lesgue. WE WON THAT LEAGUE NOT CHELSEA.
Spudulike Posted 7 May 2019 Author Posted 7 May 2019 "Leicester's re-elected mayor Sir Peter Soulsby has said "watch this space" in terms of creating an honour for the city's Premier league winning team. He told BBC Radio Leicester discussions are under way with the club, but his preferred option is freedom of the city."
