Which would qualify as one, even though France are ranked 4th. I think out of the 8 left only Norway(11) and Italy(15) are ranked outside of the top 10.

The Japanese player's arm had to be somewhere. If her arm didn't get in the way then that was a goal, so like it or not, this is football, not handball. It is difficult and a harsh decision, but when you are so close to someone striking the ball, you need to be a bit cleverer and keep your arm next to your body. If she had her arm next to her torso and it hit her hand, then I would disagree if a penalty was given. As soon as it hit her hand she knew she messed up.

Was saying this at the weekend, certain teams will have Pulis esque tactics of blasting a corner into a crowded box from short range in hope of it hitting a hand. Likewise, players might purposely aim to dink it to an opponents hand nearby to win a penalty.

And there is even less chance of hiding a leg. Arms can be easily placed behind your back or on the side of your body.
