Vlad the Fox Posted 23 June 2019 Posted 23 June 2019 Did I hear the England fans chanting v.a.r at the start of the second half
Countryfox Posted 23 June 2019 Posted 23 June 2019 “Recriminations after this” says the commentator ... I can see a curse being put on the ref ..

KingsX Posted 23 June 2019 Posted 23 June 2019 Getting through is everything. But I can’t help thinking England would have been better served by playing a team with the quality to defeat them, rather than dragged down a few levels by Cameroon. Only in scattered stretches have they looked like one of the better sides -- and this cannot be helping them reach the higher gear needed for the knockouts.

I think at that point you just have to hope momentum and passion carries you through. It's a bit like England last year, I was perfectly happy seeing us draw favourable sides because it got us further... just had to hope that when it came to meeting a 'big' side we'd prepared well enough.
