Bins!

Hope Liverpool is kept but can’t see it with BR back at Anfield.

Liverpool is Saturday 15:00 which surprises me. Will be my first away game this season, look forward to it.

lol joke once again

Why? We all know Friday and Monday fixtures are part of the TV deal so we can expect it. We have one game out of 3 moved, could have been worse. As Leicester we are much better off than a lot of the teams so far. Imagine if we ever get Europa League, Sunday games galore.

I don’t think it’s the fact that games have to change days and have them on Friday and Mondays

it the actual fixture itself

away to Southampton on a Friday evening is not helping fans one bit

100% this. I remember a few years back they made Bournemouth v Newcastle a lunchtime kick off on sky and George's had to leave in the middle of the night to get there which is not fair. Southampton is one of our longest trips and they move it to Friday night. There's no reason to show this particular game at all.

Well, at least I can watch it on TV!

But I agree, they never choose games based on fans. It's all about getting all the teams on TV early so they can then continue to show the games they really want. They don't care whether fans have to travel far on a Friday or Monday or whenever. In an ideal world, all games would be played on a Saturday and Sunday without games starting finishing too late. Money talks unfortunately.

I'm sure during the great escape, Sunderland had a similar scenario where they played Bournemouth (could have been Crystal Palace) at 12:30 Saturday. Ridiculous journey. Being in the middle of the country we are very lucky that even the longest trip is only about 3 and half hours away.

I can see them moving it the nearer we get to it however. Which sucks as Id love to go

Not sure how they'd move it or to which time? All the games have been chosen for that weekend by BT and Sky already

Saturday 5 October 2019

12:30 Brighton v Spurs (BT Sport)
17:30 West Ham v Crystal Palace (Sky Sports)

Sunday 6 October 2019

14:00 Southampton v Chelsea (Sky Sports)
TBC Arsenal v AFC Bournemouth*
16:30 Newcastle v Man Utd (Sky Sports)
*Moved due to Arsenal's UEFA Europa League participation

That's from Premier League website.

You're right then, I didn't realise it was that near in all honesty!

Our longest trip being 2 and half to 3 hours,

we don’t know how lucky we are compared to others,

and it’s Friday night so you’ve all weekend to chill and not worry about getting up for work

Not really the point is it. The point is our longest or one of the longest trips is now a night game. Not everyone can finish work early at the drop of a hat to travel, and not everyone has weekends off either. Fans are mugged off by Sky all the time.

I hope for your sake we don’t have a successful season which means we’ll be on sky even more,

you have nearly 3 months notice to book time off if you decide to go,

if not enjoy it from your living room like others,

no offence but some moan for the sake of moaning,

you should be happy that we’re not on sky that much between now and end of October,

but then maybe you’ll moan ‘why aren’t we ever on sky’

:dunno:

I’d be more than happy not to be on TV once all season. I couldn’t give a shite about arm chair fans the priority should be with loyal supporters who travel up and down the country.

Couldn't agree more and I'm bemused to see why some disagree with you.

Cant understand why they chose this game for sky anyway, hardly inspires excitement

They should be a directive that means something like your three longest away trips can’t be televised on midweek evenings and/or Saturday mornings if a stupid amount of distance

Oh yeah, as someone who doesn't have a Sky subscription I'm always moaning about us not being televised because it means I can actually go to home and away games at a normal time instead...

To be fair, travelling to Wolves on a midweek night might take just as long as a trip to the South Coast. When I went the cup game last year it took me 2 hours to get to Wolverhampton, and that wasn't even from Leicester, I already had a 13 mile headstart.

What would help with midweek/evening fixtures would be football special trains, or just national rail putting a late train on so that everyone can get home. Having a last train at 20:00 or best case 22:00 is ridiculous.

Of course there are always club coaches, but they are a pain in the backside. I would never go on one.

I know a couple of the London clubs have ran trains back in that scenario (to and from Leicester)

How come? I went on Ausden clark for the first time ever for Huddersfield. Was great, no complaints. Got there early enough to have a good drink around Huddersfield, and as I needed to get back to Leicester for the evening it left (with a police escort out of the town) straight after full time. So much cheaper than the train, convenient, no complaints. For me, the train is a complete rip off and awful service, only useful if you can get away without paying for a ticket, which on a weekend is possible often tbf.

I suppose it’s more about a drink. Not always do ausden Clark get there early and you can’t drink on a coach like you can a train

When will Newcastle be confirmed for 28th/29th September? Does anybody know approximately?

Already has hasn't it?

Edit - just seen it depends on Man City in Europe ffs.
