LinekersLugs Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 What Top , his late father and family have done for our Club, City and County is simply amazing The dreams we have they have helped create The memories we will love till our dying days they have helped create and still they go on giving , gifts that allow us the chance to create more dreams and memories Khun Top thank you , thank you, thank you
StriderHiryu Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 And to think I had reservations when they first took over! We won the owners lottery, and I think it's actually a testament to Top that despite the tragic passing of his father, that he's decided to try to push the club despite that happening. Like father, like son? If so the future is going to be amazing! I remember that when we won the league a fair few were critical of Top for hogging the trophy (which he blatantly did!) but now I’d love to see that guy hog another trophy or two! FA Cup? Reckon it’d look good on the mantelpiece!
That_Dude Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 The appointment of Rodgers, as well as the signings this summer are proof (as if we still needed it) that he never had any intention of giving up on his father's path. On the contrary. I'm absolutely amazed by how swiftly they're handling this crucial transfer window. Hats off to him and the board.
FoyleFox Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 It would've been understandable in the circumstances if Top hadn't wanted to continue with us or at least with such commitment. The transfer window eliminates any doubt that Top isn't fully committed to continuing the ambition and creating a lasting legacy for Vichai. We have been truly blessed and honoured with our owners.
HybridFox Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 Continuing to realise Vichai's vision for our club. It's the stuff of dreams!
KingsX Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 How many of us wondered whether Top inherited the warrior’s heart from his father? I admit my doubts, when I saw that heart broken on the face of a vulnerable young man. What we were really seeing was the strength not to hide. Instead he grieved with us. And coming out of the tumult, he's shown his mettle leading the Club through a managerial change and a transfer campaign. Again we are the talk of English football -- but you don’t see the word “fairytale” used any more. He’s got my faith and trust.
smitha Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 Echo the sentiments of everybody else what they have achieved at are club in such a short space of time is unbelievable. There is a real bond between the owners and supporters and they must take great comfort in the support they have received from the supporters in good and bad times. In the aftermath of the tragedy you see he was clearly touched by the floral tributes/shirts etc, hearing Vichai's dream sung by 30,000 fans brings tears to my eyes god be knows what it does to Top. He is determined to build a legacy that his father wanted and with the new training centre, stadium expansion and the show of intent in the transfer market he is here for the long term and I for one couldn't be happier Top is definitely a blue it runs in his veins and he clearly has affection for the club and supporters roll on August 11th
fazzyfox Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 You're right and the timing of this is correct, we shouldn't just gorge at the benefits like cocksure pigs in a troff, we should recognise that it's only possible due to the hard work and commitment of our owners. Unlike the likes of Slimani it's not as risky in terms of being a success to spend on someone who we've seen settle, fit in and excel in our side already but still, take a step back, 40 million, young player, our club, wow! We took a stride forwards today, you have to move forwards as standing still results in moving backwards in the current climate but this level of business is something else. Thank you.
broughtonblue Posted 10 July 2019 Posted 10 July 2019 In my 52 years on this planet I've had some Leicester heroes, but this whole family has nearly reached the top of the list , amazing owners

There are far more creative types on here than me, but something along the lines of “and now it’s with Top; we know he won’t stooooop - Champions of England - you’ll make us sing that”. Crap wording on my part, but love the idea of us recognising him and Vichai on the same song. Continuity and forward-looking. ?♂️?♂️

Nothing would have been possible without them. All of the players and managers from recent years we consider heroes may well have not been at the club if it wasn’t for them. To think we could still be in the championship now or even worse if they hadn’t come in and if we were a prem club we might have been a Cardiff only paying brief visits. We’re in a dream position right now and that’s without considering the title win and champions league adventures
mozartfox Posted 10 July 2019 Posted 10 July 2019 Agree 100% with everything. Now we as the fans need to get behind the Club even when things are not going as we would like against the OWL and his Palace Team

Reckon it’d look good on the mantelpiece! I remember reading the moaning at the time but couldn’t be bothered to reply, too drunk and happy. However I think it’s unfair to say he hogged it as when he came round the corner from sk1 he turned and looked for someone to pass it to but the players were all with their families etc and it didn’t seem anyone wanted it, hence he was left holding the baby. However who could him, a young man who’s team had just won the premier league, he was living the dream. I’d have been running around, skidding on my knees, balancing it on my head, no one would have got near it
mazarron fox Posted 10 July 2019 Posted 10 July 2019 They could of picked any one of a number of teams to invest in and picked us. Like all great businessmen when they move in on an investment they will have done their homework on the club the city and county even the fan base and they came to the conclusion LCFC & King Power were the perfect fit. A one club city, one club county and an area of the country with its own unique identity. As people have stated we truly have been blessed.
Guest Markyblue Posted 10 July 2019 Posted 10 July 2019 We have shared the base human emotions of total joy and complete heartbreak with top and his family, we were born into the club he chose us the bond is strong and unique.
DerbyshireFox Posted 10 July 2019 Posted 10 July 2019 Tifo for Top for the opening game against Wolves would be fantastic
Lesterlad Posted 10 July 2019 Posted 10 July 2019 The biggest legacy Milan left behind was finding Vichai to sell the club too. Milan came in for a lot of criticism but wow did he leave us in a better position then when he came in.
