No my bad, I'm clearly a Forest fan. My error.

Side splittingly funny but try applying some logic yourself instead of being so self righteous.

Don't come at me talking absolute drivel and expect anything but the same back.

Try being one and find out.

No one asks for them. And they are only 'free' to fans who have bought a match ticket - the club still has to pay for them. Much like it pays someone to print the clappers which as far as I'm aware no one asked for either.

I've been attending a large majority of home & away fixtures for years and I've never wanted/eaten/kept any of the free stuff they've put on, which tends to be just a load of useless tat or low-grade food/beer I don't really want anyway.

Free away travel or simply reducing the price of match tickets would help a greater number of fans, but evidently they see some sort of PR value in the freebies. And reading some of the people on here, it's obviously working!

Free beer, doughnuts, sausage rolls, cakes etc and people still ****ing whinge. Absolutely baffling.

I would join in but find them to be a bit pitchy, and their timings are all off. I reckon more rehearsals are in order

???? love this thread

I think the difference in L1 compared to the UFS  is L1 are common as muck and Ufs seem to be of the higher echelon of society and voice seem softer or maybe their balls haven't dropped.

Again find it peculiar UFS get picked on here when it’s a joint statement with the Foxes Trust.

Maybe some peoples true intentions being revealed there

Cant believe this wingefest is still going on.if you dont like it dont pay it .and dont go.simple supply and demand. This is our club being  managed sensibly  as a potentially ongoing long term successful business.

Get over it.

They think this is ****ing nectar card fc and want swap their "points" for free tickets etc.

Me? I'd like a free car but it aint ****ing happening and i know I'd sound like a petulant child if i expected one, so i didnt mention it.

Or ebbsfleet where they get to pick the team, the pricing structure, and the transfers.

We're all entitled to opinions, but just because we give ourselves a name and have a singsong together, we shouldn't think our opinions are anything more than just an opinion.

Who has actually said that? People think that paying £1 to print tickets (already bought) off at home might not be necessary.

I've not seen anyone object to paying for the ticket, or wanting to pick the team and have a say in transfers.

People are allowed to have an opinion though, aren't they? They don't have to cheerily swallow everything the club throw their way as if nothing happened. I accept that price rises are inevitable, and would never question that the owners have been wonderful - I don't think that's being debated. But if everyone who'd ever served our club fantastically was beyond reproach we wouldn't have much of a forum.

And I don't get the 'if you don't like it don't pay it' argument - does that mean you actually applaud the introduction of these fees? If you consider them pretty much an irrelevance, fine, but I can see how they'd would cause a headache for some fans. It seems strange to be so defensive of the club when they make a decision which is detrimental to many of us, regardless of the extent.

For me, it's understandable on the club's part, and it's not going to stop me going to games. But I totally get the disapproval, and think it's healthy that people voice it. And it's a totally valid question to ask whether the amount of revenue it generates is worth the criticism it causes. Maybe it is, I don't know, but I don't see why you'd scoff at the fact that people are debating the matter.

FT only got up off their arses at the club’s biggest time of need and got the stadium listed as a community asset, therefore influencing the type of owner who’d want to buy the club during Mandaric’s time.

No club can be free of criticism because how does it improve? If everyone accepts the status quo, competency grows and the club consider you as a number. Fan groups provide the ability to lobby in numbers rather than be an unorganised ramble. If something extreme should occur, we’d have organisations what can immediately begin actions for fans to rally around

Regardless of the rights/wrongs of this issue , i seem to be missing the moment when myself or many thousands of other city fans appointed any group to speak for us.

Where in the statement did the Trust claim to speak on behalf of anyone but their own members?

It's similar to how party political parties work and their leaders get appointed. Your decision/general election is accepting the fee to pay. The club consider the number of disgruntled customers from the fan groups and make their decision. It might not work on this occasion but they are now aware that there's a chance for opposition on a similar ticketing issue.

You'll note the statement is worded to say the groups are unhappy as opposed to the fans.

This issue might be one you think the fan groups are wrong but there will be others you may think they are right on. I understand the objections on a personal level. I don't understand why people are taking it as an opportunity to vilify fan groups.
