Brendan's first team is not the same as mine

I acknowledge Brendan is the better coach and is more knowledgeable about football.  But could he have guided Wells City u14 (if I remember correctly, it may have been under 13) to the Somerset County League (I think there were 6 teams that year over a decade ago)?  I know I couldn't have taken Liverpool to 2nd and managed Celtic to several triumphs (I would have guided them to do a Tottenham in a one horse race).

I think Brendan will play narrow

Schmeichell

Perreira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell

Ndidi

Tiellemans, Maddison, Albrighton

Perez

Vardy

I noticed last season he seemed reluctant to play the three academy products together.  I would play  all three.

Schmeichell

Perreira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell

Choudhury

Tiellemans,  Maddison

Albrighton, Vardy, Barnes.

I love being a Leicester fan.  We have a manager who knows what he is doing .  And my choice has Fuchs, N'didi,  Praet, Perez and Gray on the bench.  We have a squad.

Incidentally , Wells City girls only won the league because we had a player shortage meaning that noobs didn't have to be rotated in (in accordance with political correctness).  Rodgers can concentrate on glory.

I anticipated this might get thoughts about Rodgers first team plans.  Our front six is hard to predict.

Can't work out if you're on the wind-up and being funny on a high intellectual plain or just 5 pints into Friday evening!

All 3.   But I am wondering about what Rodgers sees our first team is.  Our squad seems more loaded the  ever before.

OK to answer I think you're correct he will play narrow, overload the midfield and look to create chances through incisive intricate passing rather than direct wingplay. So expect more creative midfielders and less Demarai Grays!

I disagree, I think we'll play the usual 433.

                 Schmeichel

Pereira Evans Soyuncu Chilwell

                   Choudhury

    Tielemans       Maddison

Perez            Vardy         Albrighton

This was the 11 that played against Atalanta in preparation for this game so I'd be shocked if he changed it, especially when we played very well against a very good team.

Wolves play with wingbacks so playing narrow would be suicide imo. As soon as the ball is turned over they'll have a free unmarked outball on the wing all game and will likely cause overloads out wide easily while the midfielders aren't close enough to the fullback to give support.

We have the advantage going into the game with Wolves already being tired and we finished the season far better than them playing 433. There's no need to take an unnecessary risk playing a formation we've only played once in a game we're already favourites in.

I really hope not, he had his worst games of the season against Wolves

Totally Agree -  his lack of pace would be massively exposed and we would most likely end up losing.

I’m glad you acknowledged Brendan is the better coach to begin with, I would have struggled to work that out otherwise!

Mate, don't be so modest. You've never had the chance. You could have got them to first! We're not even sure Bren could have even kept Wells City Girls safe from relegation.

You wouldn’t start with Perez or Ndidi? You have undoubtedly been on the old sauce buddy. 🤪

I like your style.

I'm surprised people don't think this is the case

Teams with aspirations of making the top 6 of the hardest league in the World do not start with 36 year old CB’s.  If they do, then highly probable the middle of your defence will be raped.

I agree, I'd be much happier with a 4-3-3 and I hope that Rodgers somehow forgets all about the diamond.

As for overloads, you're much more likely to get doubled up on, playing against a team with a winger and a fullback (4-4-2).  You don't get wingbacks and wingers.
