Brendan's first team is not the same as mine

I agree, I'd be much happier with a 4-3-3 and I hope that Rodgers somehow forgets all about the diamond.

As for overloads, you're much more likely to get doubled up on, playing against a team with a winger and a fullback (4-4-2).  You don't get wingbacks and wingers.

I agree you're more likely to get it with wingers but if they see the diamond they'll quickly figure out that telling one of their strikers to drift wider will cause big problems for the full back creating easy one-two opportunities.

You wouldn’t start with Perez or Ndidi? You have undoubtedly been on the old sauce buddy. 🤪

You are convinced that Choudhury will not outdo N'didi? Barnes could not become  better than Perez?

I hope Perez succeeds; however it maybe he is wasted money.

N'didi is a fantastic player.  To me, Choudhury is one of the most exciting prospects ever .

I am a little sauced but my opinions came first.

Paulton Rovers shit all over Wells City!

I am a bit worried about Barnes' game time. But let's wait and see what Bren does.

Expect to see him used a lot as an impact sub after 60 minutes. Honestly I think this is not the worst thing for him because to give Harvey a lot of credit he often causes chaos when he comes on thanks to his pace and great attitude. He actually does more for Leicester on average when used this way instead of starting.

In terms of starting games, he's still quite raw. Games often pass him by and he's often standing in the wrong position, which I think is due to his position having been changed from a more central player to a wide one. Pretty sure he will get there in time, but it doesn't surprise me that in the last two preseason games Rodgers has gone for slightly older players in the attacking positions.

brendan likes the wing backs to push on and i think he might go something like this

------------------------kasper-------------------------

ricardo-----eveans----------soyenchu------chilwell

--------tielmans--------ndid---------choudary--------

------------perez---------------maddison------------

-----------------------vardy-------------------------------

Teams with aspirations of making the top 6 of the hardest league in the World do not start with 36 year old CB’s.  If they do, then highly probable the middle of your defence will be raped.

I hope he doesn’t put Maddison out wide, the midfield 3 of Ndidi, Youri and Maddison is an absolute joy; maybe against top 6 where hamza comes in but not against anyone else...

I disagree, I think we'll play the usual 433.

                 Schmeichel

Pereira Evans Soyuncu Chilwell

                    Ndidi

    Tielemans       Maddison

Perez            Vardy         Albrighton

This was the 11 that played against Atalanta in preparation for this game so I'd be shocked if he changed it, especially when we played very well against a very good team.

Wolves play with wingbacks so playing narrow would be suicide imo. As soon as the ball is turned over they'll have a free unmarked outball on the wing all game and will likely cause overloads out wide easily while the midfielders aren't close enough to the fullback to give support.

We have the advantage going into the game with Wolves already being tired and we finished the season far better than them playing 433. There's no need to take an unnecessary risk playing a formation we've only played once in a game we're already favourites in.

I disagree. They may be tired at the end of the season after having to start so soon, but I see them 3 competitive games ahead of us and very dangerous.

They've blown away the cobwebs already. We haven't.

Hamza will likely start the season. Barnes can earn a place ahead of Albrighton or Perez by playing well off the bench - or maybe Rodgers plans to regardless versus specific teams.

there is a chance he could go with a diamond for high press and play maddison just behind vards and perez in 2 man attack

tbh as outrageous as this post is, it does highlight a good point. i think i might support harvey barnes more than i support leicester now and i just want him to win the ballon d’or. but i think albrighton will start ahead of him. and i love albrighton. but harvey is our absolute boy. just let him rip, brendan.

You're right except Ndidi didn't play against Atalanta and won't play against Wolves, it will be Hamza.
