What exactly does Perez provide for the team!. Does he score goals. Does he create chances.. Does he provide assists. Struggling to see what he provides for the team.

I’m by no means a fan of Ayoze but he was actually one of our better players before what was an unfortunate incident. He was knocked off balance and caught him whilst trying to regain it.

Im not arguing it wasn’t a red but it wasn’t deliberate either.

Say what you like about the tackle, we were not getting anything from that game the way we set up. Of course going down to 10 men doesn't help, but we didn't lose because of Perez.

Tielemans, N'didi, Pereira, Thomas, Vardy and especially Soyuncu put in performances that were as much to do with us losing.

Setting up with Pereira effectively playing right wing, and so having 3 at the back, against the best counter attacking team in the league, with the likes of Amartey playing (who will always concede possession), was suicide from Rodgers.

Don't just point the finger at Perez because it's easier to blame him than acknowledge we have serious problems.

Oh, we have a MASS of problems, which despite out entire defence being crocked mostly involve our attacking play. It's shit.

I feel for him tonight. He made some good runs and got in some good positions. Whether any of you wanna believe that to suit your agenda so be it. He’s then fouled which leads to him making a horrible tackle and getting sent off.

Yeah but he don’t score goals or assist…..

I totally agree with that but they are all players who can and often do play well and influence results. Perez just doesnt influence the team enough.

Presses up high, wins the ball back (when not getting sent off)

Up until Perez got sent off, he was our best attacking player tonight. That’s an uncomfortable fact that Perez haters will ignore. Maddison, Vardy and Barnes were all playing worse. Perez was taking that ball on the turn and trying to inject some speed into our play.

I actually don’t think Maddison is all that.

He's been dogshit ever since we brought him. Today was just another pathetic performance in a long list from him. Worse part is, he'll be the first name on the team sheet after his 3 game ban. Brendan absolutely adores him.

He did look to have a few good touches tonight but yet again when it matters he fluffs his chances. The awful cross to the keeper when he had loads of time and the crap shot which he scuffed wide. I know it can happen to any player but with Perez it happens every time he’s in a good position.

He was fouled from behind which knocked him forward so I wonder why that wasn’t taken into consideration for his ‘foul’. If I was pushed into someone and knocked him off a cliff would it be my fault or the guy who pushed me?

Anyway overall all, before his red he showed how crap he is when it matters. Sign a pissing guy to play on the RW for piss sakes!

For everybody that defends him, the goalposts are always shifting. He doesn’t score, cross, dribble, hold the ball up or create much.

PL leftbacks facing Perez must come off the pitch thinking “that was easy”. What threat does he pose? (apart from to your shins).

Even looking at charitably - he had a few lively moments before getting sent off. There was still a few egregious flashes like the cross under little pressure floated into Fabianski’s hands.

He’s not good enough and never will be, I keep hearing Brendan saying how good his work rate and tracking back is but as forward type player he does precious little

Heard he kicked the bubble machine on the way out and is being banned for 6 games.

In the time he's been with us, and all the times we've spoken about his good positioning and some good runs, what has he, as an attacker, actually produced? That is the issue.

Btw those lauding (if that’s not a bit strong) him because he’s “workmanlike” - biggest load of bollocks ever. Anyone can run around and tackle, but he’s paid to be a good footballer too. Actually tonight he showed he’s not the best tackler either.

He’s producing less than Slimani ever did for a similar fee. Get rid - now.

There is no performance Perez can show that will change people’s minds, so there’s that, don’t think he is here to do any of the things you list anyway

Not really tbh, he is substandard no doubt. But what does anyone gain by slagging him off? It’ll just translate to the ground, and in what world is that helpful? Or he will just console himself by burning more of our pound notes. lol

Not sure but for me if I don’t vent it I feel like my head will explode 🤣

And I'll reiterate, Albrighton offers more in terms of work rate and tracking back. I'm not saying Albrighton is the answer either.

I mean, if he started scoring goals I think people might lay off him lol

If he puts in one good performance then no it won't change my mind. If he puts in even a handful then maybe.

Well can we squeeze him in at CB then?
