I had both 18 and 19 but just wasn't that keen on either really. Think I'm about due to move on from it though. Having a cracking save with Genoa though. I started a new game and holidayed until the start of the 2019/20 season so I can start at that time in the game now so it's at least a bit better. Genoa had dropped down to Serie B so I thought I'd try and get them fixed. 7 years in I've made the Champions League twice but just fell short of the title, ****ing infuriating.

I failed and got sacked as soon as relegation was confirmed, still think i did ok there but the job was impossible, managed ot get a coaching badge though

Finding a job is hard when you have a relegation and a short stint for experience ,but these suckers dont care, £600 a week for the next 6 months  Massive

It's literally the only job i got offered in 6 months of unemployment

Downloaded the lower league database (Here if you're interested) since finding employment for with no experience is getting harder with each sacking, and its hard to begin with in these latest version, gone are the days you can walk into a job in china or south africa.  Starting at a club thats just down the road from me. no matter what happens, this is the save that i will play till i succeed or delete the game

Totally done with this now. dont know if its the match engine or what but somethings not right, seemed fine in beta when i was leicester but every game i have started since has been awful. oh well, there's always next year

I am having some random issues. Mainly the fact that Watford and palace are unbeatable x

Take some time out to chill but then just completely rebuild your 2019 tactic. It's worked for me since the patch.

My gut reaction to a comment like that is your system isn't great vs defensive teams. Are Watford and Palace doing well against everyone or just you?

I've resorted to my childhood where I used to create my own League Cup, writing all teams on a bit of paper, cutting them out and drawing them out of a cup. Play the games as friendlies with penalties deciding the winner. Used to watch them when I had 168 hours a week to play it but i've just created 8 managers at a time, set everything up then went on holiday. We sneaked through against Grimsby on penalties, Bournemouth at home in the 3rd round

 

Am tempted to play a game in England now though, probably starting in the Conference

i did take some time out...about 12 hours, then this happened

 as soon as i stopped talking about my save, i guess i just concentrated on the game more and we went up, close league, managed it via the playoffs, 3 games including the final, which I won on pens. ****ing stoked

 

My superstition of not talking about a save while the seasons in progress has been reinstated

Does the Touch version of the game have a more simplified game engine or match interface? I'm thinking about getting it but haven't played any of the newer versions.

as far as I know, the match engine is the same, its the entire rest of the game thats simplified, but i have never played it, i guess it might be close to the mobile experience

i have never been closer to replaying a match than after what just happened in this game

2 points behind the leaders with 2 to play, was 2-0 up, got a 90th min injuryt to my last sub who was on the pitch for about 3 seconds, its was 2-1 at the time, conceded a 94th minute equaliser because my sub defender just gave the ball to an attacker, and the league leaders scored a 90th minute winner in their match. sometimes i feel the entire game is ****ing rigged. dont even care if i have jinxed thhe playoffs now by talking about it, im ****ing furious

Have to say the match engine is so bad, you create so many chances that they have to miss gilt edge chances to make up for it.100% it needs major work, I had 25 shots 18 on target with 8 clear cut chances and drew 0-0.

Any advice on decent championship strikers? I started unemployed, have ended up at Brentford and am a month away from not having a single fit striker at the club.

 

I’ve tried to get a right load of shite in and not even they want to join (Murray, Remy, Sharp etc).

Reading on here and other places, I am glad I haven't bought FM20 yet. FM19 was broken for the 1st few months after release last year. I've played FM for about 12 years now and I think SI have let their standards drop probably due to the lack of any other good competition for a management game. They feel they need to keep adding more features but the important things are not at the level they should be at. 

 

Some of you will find this weird. I am autistic and playing FM is one of the few things I like doing. I have a huge interest in it and find it easier to spot/understand things that happen in the game because of my "disability" (I see it as an advantage). It is annoying for me that SI seem to have a lot less passion and interest in their product than I do.
