We thought our record was bad but St Johnstone had played and lost in 7 Scottish Cup semi finals between 1934 and 2014, when they got to the final and won it in that season. They're making a habit of winning the cups when the Glasgow twins are knocked out early.

To treble their major honours this season is phenomenal, good for Callum, as you say.

Malky MacKay appointed as Ross County manager.

 

His first manager's job for 6 years, and he is still seen as toxic in some places after a series of offensive messages on a work mobile with a colleague came to light which were racist, antisemitic and homophobic.

 

Pretty offensive stuff to think, even if he was indulging in ill-thought out "banter".

 

Quite a few Staggies are now suggesting they won't renew their season tickets.

 

You have to wonder why Ross County think it is worth the reputational damage if there were other candidates.

 

It brings up interesting questions about how someone who was "cancelled" after this sort of thing can later be rehabilitated.

 

If the manager at Livingston was once a full on gangster and went to jail and is now full of contrition and acknowledgement of his second chance, can Mackay not also be redeemed?

 

One thing is for sure, opposition fans will give Mackay some amount of stick next season.

Would love to say we have destroyed them, which we did, but we mainly exposed how poorly run they are throughout the entire club. 9 years of being completely uncontested in the league you would have thought they’d use the time and rewards to build a team that could dominate Europe. They’re ****ed.

It absolutely tickles my taint that Celtic fans were shouting the odds about Mourinho and Benitez, then Lampard and Howe and it looks like they will end up with some Greek guy with an ozzy accent that no one has ever heard of.

It's just not that attractive on a football level. Their route in the Champions League is very hard, they looked well behind Rangers last season, big players could well be going, a fanbase that turned massively on a club legend.

 

Some of the Premier League jobs may not have the prestige but nowhere near the level of scrutiny and pressure.
