Walshy5 Posted 22 April 2020 Posted 22 April 2020 I'm looking for a best 11 that have not played in the Premier League for us since the league was formed in 1992 I'll get the ball rolling with my thoughts. Chris Weale Kyle Naughton Jack Hobbs Alexander Tunchev Bruno Berner Max Gradel Joey Gudjonson Mark Davies Lloyd Dyer Matty Fryatt Martyn Waghorn
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 22 April 2020 Posted 22 April 2020 Weale over banks? Dyer over gibbo? Fryatt over Worthington?!?! Are you mad
49er Posted 22 April 2020 Posted 22 April 2020 Mike Newell Peter Weir Tommy Wright Dave Buchanan Paul Kitson

Paninistickers Posted 22 April 2020 Posted 22 April 2020 Gerry Daly Gareth Macaulay Btw, is Macualey the most forgotten decent player to have played for us in the relative recent past?

49er Posted 22 April 2020 Posted 22 April 2020 Jari Rantanen. Maybe not such a great player but a real character
The whole world smiles Posted 22 April 2020 Posted 22 April 2020 The loan market is where it's at. Marton Fullop Van Arnolt Jessie Lingard Harry Kane Tom Cleverly Not an 11 but you catch my drift.

Harry Kane didn't really do it for us.
Gazza M Posted 22 April 2020 Posted 22 April 2020 Fullop Naughton Hobbs Macaulay Berner Gallagher Oakley Wellens Dyer Howard Fryatt
JJD_LCFC Posted 22 April 2020 Posted 22 April 2020 C. Weale K. Naughton G. Mcauley Jack Hobbs Van Aarnolt Paul Gallagher M. Oakley - Personally think he is undervalued. Captained a great side in L1 and the champ. M. Davies Lloyd Dyer M. Fryatt S. Howard Always rated Ian Hume whilst he was with us as well. Berner was very good left back. For what Kane has gone on to do hard not to include him, but purely going on form for us he was pretty hopeless if I remember correctly. Kisnorbo when he moved to cb was class as well. Sol bamba looked awesome on his debut. That was about it.

I suppose it depends on If it's a best 11 based on their time at Leicester or an 11 of the best possible players cause if it's the best possible players even as hated as he is on foxestalk it's difficult to make a case for Steve Howard over Harry Kane! Bruno Berner was absolutely superb for us by the way and he seemed like a really nice bloke always thought he'd make a good manager.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 23 April 2020 Posted 23 April 2020 In their primes Martin Keown, Nobby Solano, Chris Powell, Dion Dublin & Kevin Phillips would easily make the side.
Dan Posted 23 April 2020 Posted 23 April 2020 Anyone who fails to put Lloyd Dyer on the left is a disgrace.

Nod.E Posted 23 April 2020 Posted 23 April 2020 Never appreciated how spoilt we were for decent centre halves between our last two PL stays. (Considering the number of poor years during that time significantly outweigh the good) Nobody has even mentioned Patrick Kisnorbo yet. At one point after he moved from midfield he was alright (not shiite)

I always liked him. Disappointed when he left but at least he went to a half decent side at the time (Ipswich) and played in the PL for many years with WBA unlike Hume who went to Barnsley. Unbelievable to think we had the second best defensive record during 07/08 yet still went down.

Oxfordfox83 Posted 24 April 2020 Posted 24 April 2020 Surprised not to see mention of Gary Mills. Turns out he played 1 PL game for us in 94 before he left. He’d have been a hell of an option at RB...
