Spurs 1-1 Leicester

Liverepool 2-1 Chelsea

Man Utd 4-1 West Ham

Final day we just need to match Chelsea

Leicester 0-2 Man Utd

Chelsea 1-0 Wolves

 

We fight hard for first 20-25 mins but Utd break through. We don’t give up but we struggle to open them up as their midfield has to much for us.

Chelsea build confidence and score and because Wolves focusing on Europa league, Chelsea always in control meaning we need to win not just draw. Eventually Utd kill us off and then just sit back and control the game as we now bow out with pride but ultimately disappointment.

A good season that I hope doesn’t destroy our progress but fear it will.

If we can keep this squad(or at least a majority of it) then it will hopefully just be a stepping stone to build but that’s the question. Ndidi, Tielemens, Ricardo and Soyuncu are all key players for us, can’t afford to lose any of these 4. We’ll be ok with that spine for a top 10 finish next year at least.

Or would fair play come into it? If so soyuncu red could be more costly than we thought. Not sure of the standings if this does get taken into account.

Think someone on redcafe predicted similar, if a draw on last day gets both us and man utd qualified, there is chance its played out that way.

West Germany v Austria. That game pushed all final group/league games to KO at identical times. They played out a 0-0 game of walking football. Both qualified, eliminating Algeria l think.

We should be looking at United as a winnable game. Their results have actually been a bit misleading. They start games horribly and never really get going until a dodgy decision goes their way. For a team like ourselves with Champions league aspirations it's a game we should be looking to win
